I have a couple of stupid questions to ask about him.

1. What's up with his munitions? Does he pull them out of the air? I don't remember the exact details of that.

2. Before the question was asked of him, "Do you bleed?", wasn't there one part where he was bleeding (was it when he killed the Imass with the chains?) and he just decided to stop bleeding, and therefore stopped bleeding?

1. There was a limitless supply, before he became flesh, but we don't know if that's still true now.

2. Yeah, when he was still a ghost, he blew up the Imass before he entered the Refugium, got horribly mangled and then ignored it, and it went away. In a very similar fashion to Iron Bars, I might add. But after he entered the Refugium, he became flesh and so could die again, like the other Imass.

Is that for certain, though? Was it said right out that he was only flesh because he entered the Refugium? I got the impression that he was flesh because he was ascended. If it was the former, then why was the question of whether or not he bled even significant, seeing as how he bled before?

He could bleed, but he couldn't wish the damage away like he did outside the Refugium, or when he saved Fiddler from the cusser in HOC.

Right, I understand that much, or at least the implication of it. But they question was "Do you bleed?", not "Can you heal yourself?" - it just seems like the bleeding itself was significant, and he bled before he entered the Refugium.

He could only heal himself outside of the place, as could be seen by his reaction to the continual bleeding after Quick punched him. I guess Quick was trying to confirm whether Hedge was alive again before he got up close and personal with a dragon and a cusser.

He'd been ascended for a while, since MoI in fact, or soon after. It was certainly the Refugium that resurrected him. However, he still had his never-ending cusser supply inside the Refugium, so he wasn't still completely... within the rules again.

I don't think it's ever actually confirmed that it's still unlimited ammo. (Hedge used IDDQD, haha)

I'm assuming it's not unlimited anymore. That would be... strange. But QB certainly comments on it while they're preparing for the sisters, iirc. So it was at that point.

Well it seems it still might be unlimited when he fires that second cusser at Ruin ontop of that building towards the end. He did get that from his own supply, so who knows if that still applies. :confused:

Well, it's fair to assume that it was still unlimited when he was in the Refugium - QB comments on it when the sisters were approaching, iirc - and therefore full (or missing one, possibly) when they leave.

So he's still got a decent number, even if it isn't unlimited. Enough for a few drums:cool:

Hedge is definitely still ascended, so ofcourse he could have an endless supply of cussers. In fact it's the only way to keep the sappers with munitions now that they are a long way from replenishing the munition supplies.

Fine, not the only way then, but I'm still betting on an endless supply, since Hedge is still ascended. I don't think him having an endless supply of cussers is due to him being a ghost, but him being an ascendant. Agree?

I was under the impression that, as an ascended ghost, he could do what he wanted with his ascended power. However, the only way he could consciously use that power was to 'summon' munitions, and then have his mind apply the damage that SHOULD have been done.

So, heres the kicker, does he create actual munitions, or are they illusions, and his mind suplies the damage? Can he pass said illusions(or not) out?

Or, did what he thought he had when he became actual flesh and blood become real and (tangible i guess?) just like himself?

I'm not sold on him having an endless supply of anything right now. I just dont know, I'm not against the idea, but there is not enough evidence in my mind either way.

Seriously, I think many people are already seeing some deus ex machina. Do you really think 1 sapper with an endless supply of munitions, protected by a high-mage with 12+ warrens who can stare down (and sometimes defeat) the most powerfull ascendants around would not be deus ex machina x 100?

He was an ascended ghost who could produce munitions because that's what he did in life. It was described something like an 'exercise of will'.

His body, when he was a ghost, was also an exercise of will, so it could be damaged, to the point that would kill a normal human, and he wouldn't experience any trauma, and could just wish it back, so to speak.

Exposure to the Refugim made his body 'real', to the point he couldn't 'just' heal, tho we never saw him try. He was still producing cussers out of nowhere in the Refugim, as he ended Sheltana and then reloaded for whatever was happening back in the gates.

BUT, he returned with QB with one cusser from the Refuge already loaded, which he used on Silchas. Did we see him produce a single munition after that?

(Tho he could have produced a sackload before they left the refuge)

Yes, my point is that whatever he had created, for himself, with his mind was made real in the refuge. So, that makes that sack of munitions on his back real. Now, did he think it was a never-ending sack, and so it still is? or does he just have a couple sharpers in there and thats it?
