Elder and elemental forces are related, not actually the same thing.

I don't have the book with me, and that of the Pust was just for the fun of it, but I wouldn't say that it's that highly unlikely.

I'll have to read that section again, but I'm sceptical.

Differences? I attach "elder god" status to those who ruled an "elder force". What do you think are the differences between the two?
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

The difference would lie in that there are some gods that rule what we would call an elemental force, a warren like shadow, and there are other gods that might be that elemental forces physical manifestation.

Mother Dark IS darkness. Rake is the champion of darkness. He is the acting ruler. Also, lets take this one statement: is Chance an elemental force? Seems so, cus the Errant is chance/nudge/fate powered. Oponn are also fate powered, but they aint elder.
The fire elemental that consumed Y'Ghatan was actually called an elemental, but it was no Elder.
Elders usually are elemental, as far as we have seen, but so are other things.
And Apt explains it better above lol

I think there are vastly more EGs than some people assume. It just seems like if there are going to be Gods of "Spiders" and "Cold Nights" and "Assassins"
that it would follow that there were a ridiculous amount of aspected deities, which would make sense considering the list of forgotten deities was so huge
that learning it literally hurts.

The more interesting thing is finding out why a Goddess related to something as esoteric as "Cold Nights" could be powerful enough to be part
of a triumvirate with K'Rul & Draconus and live past the decline of the Holds yet we've never heard of a Brother of Warm Days or a Father Of Wagons,
Lady of Swords, or hell, Uncle Cusser or anything. You'd think that Swords would hold more reverance than Spiders. Then again, if it's the actual spiders doing
the worship, then ol Ardata's got a pretty nice headcount in her congregation hehe.

Firstly a good thread resurection by the way.

Secondly The Sister of Cold Nights is not the elemental force of chilly evenings is probably a metaphorical title. Mael is the only one of the EG with a definable realm, that of the ocean. For example what was Krul before he became the blood of the warrens? Draconus is associated with Darknes but even thats not clear. Theres more knowledge in later books on EG and there aspects so RAFO <_<

First off, holy shit, old thread is old. Second off, it is quite possible to be powerful enough to be mistaken for a god. The Jaghut tyrants, for one, were mossibly more powerful than some gods, and yet were no such thing. Ardata/tha could well be predending to be something she isn't, and just pulled an aspect out of her hat. She's probably at least ascendant, though.
