"The noun gelding has one meaning:. Meaning #1: castrated male horse "... would make one want to rip off faces wouldn't it?

Pust's Mule of Shadow setting up camp and stymieing Mogora made me laugh out loud.

The little girl that takes Paran to the temple also happens to be the girl Fiddler rescues from some Gral in G'danisban in DG.

You mean the girl who was running from the group which got crotch-slashed to death by Aps, Cutter and Fid. I'm sure I saw someone who got her and the granddaughters of Kimloc mixed up in this forum. Hmm...
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Fid mercy-killed them after Apsalar went slightly mental at their crotches.

(there's also a recurrent theme of uppity horses, such as various ones ridden by Kalam and Fiddler's legendary facebiter in DG. probably other examples which escape me right now)

+ the 2 horses Coll and Murillio buy from the Motts Irregular in MoI
+ Paran's horse in tBH

I thought it would be obvious that the mules are the d'ivers form of Dessimbelackis.

I simply thought that Pust's mule was ST keeping an eye on things. Perhaps Kruppe's mule was the same.

ST is spreading himself thin, but probably not as a D'ivers mule...

Mules are smarter than a Horse More intelligence= better manipulative control/use of a common military animal by an outside intrest. ie God etc.

Any new thoughts on Pust's Mule? For a while thought it might be the servant... but no way that servant had that kind of magic to protect the ship.

Even Spite noted the Mule doing stuff.... The mule is funny and interesting, but really want to know what it is. (setting camp and getting onto the ship were awesome) Wondering if it is some kind of Elder god in hiding a la Mael. (not Mael but someone doing the hanging out with mortals trick)

Maybe the mules are warrens, like the dragons?
Maybe every warren has a dragon and a mule? Just speculating here... :)

It's been speculated that the Mules are avatars of K'rul, since he is (apparently) aspected to dreams and the mules are very...sleepy. I originally thought that Pust's mule was Servant (i.e. Rellock) due to the "mule goes in, Servant comes out" business, but I no longer believe that...since the Mule continues to live and Rellock (Servant) certainly does not.

um, I believe it was Duiker's horse in DG that bit the guy from TBH's. It was during his race across the desert to catch the chain and he had to get away from a group of warriors and his horse took a chunk out of one of them. And that matches with what he said about him being in the rebilion before the horse bite him.

No sorry it was definitely Fiddlers horse. Not only was Fiddlers horse Gral and that race across the desert was actually fiddler racing the Arak, but Duikers horse never bit ne1 while chasing the CoD.

D menhir- Definitely Avatars of KRul. I thought the Mules of Shadow or dreaming etc was just a cute pet theory but i actually beleive it now. There is no way nething other than a god/elder god could stop the Raining jade on Mappos boat.

Nope, it was Fiddler's horse. Sorry.

edit: ha, tiam and I post the same thing at the same time...I suppose that proves we aren't the same person.
