Finished Fall of Hyperion. These books lived up to the hype and then some. The Shrike, which coulda been silly in other hands, is an all-timer.
Now onto White Luck Warrior. I dunno what's up with this MMPB version I have, but it's real skinny across. Every page is like reading a column in a pamphlet and it's like 900 pages instead of a normal 600 or so.

White Luck is pretty thicc. In this we can see Bakker as one of most Ready alacrity, because the current trend towards unwholesomely thin books is saddening.

Yeah, I did not realize it was the last...thought she/they had a few more in them.
Oh well, just another reason to savour it when I get to reading it.

Yeah the Kateamine is done, but the Hugh series THE IRON COVENANT is going trilogy, so there's two more in the same setting right off, and i'd be surprised if the authors didn't pick up some other thread after that. They've been pretty keen about giving other characters a novel/novella here or there - Andrea, Derek/Julie, Dali/Jim - and there's no lack. Despite the utter bloodbath in TRIUMPHS. I'm kidding, there's no bloodbath everyone lives happily ever after. Except all the dead people who die. Maybe. Yes, i AM a horrible person.

Finished The Autumn Republic. It wrapped up pretty nice.
I deceided to start A Blade of Black Steel (Crimson Empire 2) by Marshall. I need to wrap up some of the series that I started an never finished.

Finished up Salvation Lost (16th in Horus?) Last night.
That's my Goodreads target but anyway. (Possibly. Probably actually, more than 50% were 40K)
Giving Vellum another bash here. I'm a 5th of the way in, it's a real chore.
Bloody Rose arrived during the week but dad nabbed it before me the bastard

Its my 4th re-read and i wanted to do something different than order of release. I really enjoyed following the Bonehunters from their inception to the end of the series. Now i'm enjoying going with the same characters straight from Gardens to MoI to TtH.
