Since this story is Flashpoint (where Barry really fucks up the timeline) they could EASILY replace him as Barry actor wise at the end of this and juts call it multiverse shenanigans, OR they could "lose Barry entirely in the speed force" as the comics did post-CRISIS and make the new Flash Wally West going forward instead. But I can't see him continuing after this.

EDIT: I've also heard they are hiding CRISIS-level cameos from the multiverse (like archived shots of Reeves Superman, Linda Carter's WW, Adam West's Batman, Brandon Routh's Superman, TV Flash, ect.) that Barry sees when he's fucking up the Speed force time stream.

The 3-4 early reviews i've seen so far have been more or less consistent - 'great first hour, second hour is a mess. Ezra fine as Flash, Keaton Batman great.' .

I've never let a messy 2nd hour hamper my enjoyment of a film.

Also the Cinemacon audience seemed to pretty universally enjoy it.

EDIT: GOOGLE's said reviews...Jeff Snieder? Really Abyss? The guy is a joke of a critic who likes his high horse over at Collider. His fave superhero movies are all the over-the-top Mark Millar ones...I feel safe in the other 12 reviews who loved it all. Oh and not to be outdone by the people who liked it, he's ripping on them for daring to like it:

Just some spoilers for what I think it going on WRT THE FLASH and AQUAMAN and the DCU.

major spoilers for THE FLASH

So the ending of THE FLASH is clearly a reshoot as Miler is caked in makeup, and dropping him into/bringing Clooney into the DCEU as Batman/Bruce is clearly a notation that says this Barry is not in the universe anymore, he's in some splinter one. And yes Batman calls Barry when he fixes things and arrives back in the main universe and he THINKS it's Affleck, but the car rolls up and out pops a bearded George Clooney and Barry says "Who the fuck is that?" (the PG13 F-bomb saved for this moment and it's really funny)...and Clooney's Bruce looks at Barry and goes "What the hell is wrong with you Barry?"...credits.

So yeah, I think we can safely say that since this was a reshoot (the reshoots were done long after Miller's IRL arrest and shitshow) the plan going fwd is Barry will be recast. I'll say this, if Miller can rehabilitate themselves and stay out of trouble for the next few years and pay whatever penances they need to/get whatever help they need to....I'd be wiling to accept them back as they were really good as Barry Allen.

And yeah, his tooth falling out again seems to indicate he's not the Flash again...so yeah.

There is also an Aquaman post-credit scene where Arthur is drunk and Barry is explaining to him that there are many multiverses and that people are different from their counterparts but that he's the "same" in all of them...loyal, happy, ect...paying off a joke that in the universe he created in flashpoint, Arthur was Curry Elder's dog...he falls asleep facedown in a puddle.

Now we know Wan has adapted his film...."I've Had To Make Adjustments": Aquaman 2 Was Changed To Fit Gunn's DCU, Says James Wan. Director James Wan confirms that Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom has undergone changes throughout production to fit James Gunn's new DCU plans....so I think either AM 2 takes place BEFORE The FLASH in the timeline, or FLASHPOINT occurs near the end of AM2 and there will be a scene where Arthur realizes that maybe he's not with Mera anymore (which would tidy up the Amber Heard shitshow going fwd), or some other indicator that his universe changed...but it sounds very much like Gunn wants him to stay on as Aquaman (which is fine, he's great as Aquaman).

So James Gunn is now on record as having said that NOTHING is new DCU Canon until the CREATURE COMMANDOS show drops...this includes PEACEMAKER S1 which is now non-Canon, and that PEACEMAKER S2 will apparently actually address the reboot of reality...

This is also the first I've heard of BLUE BEETLE not being part of the new DCU...but after it's pretty dismal bow at the box office I can see why they've changed tune. And considering that for MONTHS both the studio side and Gal Gadot all swore that her version of Wonder Woman was staying part of the new DCU....but that's since been changed and we are getting a whole new Justice League with new actors joining the SUPERMAN: LEGACY casting of New Clark/Superman (David Cornswet), Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan), Isabela Merced (Hawkgirl), Nathan Fillion (Green Lantern [Guy Gardner version]), Edi Gathegi (Mister Terrific), and Anthony Carrigan (Metamorpho)...
