We ended up getting into this game so fast we didn't really finish up any of the resolutions from the serious post-game thread. So a couple misc notes/questions (moreso for Blend but also for everyone)

PNs -- we should start distinguishing PNs in hand vs in play area in status blocks? (we can specify both, or the existing listing can just only refer to hand)

Start of turn -- note that we more or less agreed this will now be after resolving secondaries. The main difference is you can't do transactions until "during your turn", so no transactions before/between secondaries. But also if you have any "at the start of your turn" effects it is after secondaries.

Map changes -- I shrunk the size of the units to 70% in the template so they can all fit onto planets/systems better. If you find they are now too small, let us know, maybe 80 or 90% would have been better instead. I also made some custom res/inf override graphics and generic attachment tokens so Blend can increase the planet values directly but still indicate when planets have an attachment visually. The override graphics have slightly different colours so you can tell they've been altered, too.


Khell/IH - with Blend putting the leader cards and faction sheets in the map, what do you think, should we still link the faction summary cards in the game thread posts, too?

Though with 7 players Politics has got to be tempting, too, since if you don't take it you're almost certainly going to be last pick next round.

The play order makes it less attractive as you can't sell the speaker token as easily to a neighbor.

That's why I think it's a *more* attractive pick. Maybe before you could skip Politics, let your neighbour take it, pay them to make you Speaker and give them first choice of strategy card. But if you can't do that now because you aren't/won't be neighbours with the next person in table order, then not taking Politics and letting the next player take it is a guarantee of being 7th pick next round. (Of course in Tapper's case it's not a guarantee IH will take it, so it's 6th or 7th pick instead.)

Yes but with construction as a prime pick for at least the first few rounds, I don't think anyone will be getting stuck with a duff strategy pick.

Playing as Cabal, I think this is even more important now, as having transactions in between secondaries could interfere with my ability to use my agent.

So Khell, I know you said you are gonna play it slow with alliances/sftts, but what do you think about a ceasefire between us? We have that awkward adjacency between my Tequran/Torkan and your Qucenn/Rarron at the back end of our regions, but I'd much rather be able to send just a carrier there, swap ceasefires, and never have to worry about it again, while putting all my military ships forward towards Twelve's giant mountain of planets and/or covering wormholes. Once I have gravity drive and some ships sitting on Atlas, it saves you from worrying that I'll suddenly send them through the asteroid field to your homeworld, too.

I'm certainly interested in the idea of SftT/Alliance-related deals, too, but I figure we save that talk for later and just figure ceasefire swap now.

And yes, I realize ceasefire swap wouldn't stop you from using your agent or Vortex on me since we'll still be adjacent. I would hope we can get along and have a sort of mutual don't-use-jerk-abilities-on-each-other pact if you're up for it, too. Actually, I think I'd willingly let you use your agent on me most of the time if you're planning to spend the captured ships and not hoard them.

Well if I can get 3 TG from it of course I'm going to pick that over only 2 commodities and having to wait to trade those to Twelve (or anyone else). But I'm certainly willing to consider other options if he can make a tempting offer. There is no silk too fine and all that jazz.

But why worry? I'm just using my agent, we've all got one.

I have a bunch of Industrial planets. I fully plan on exploring a lot of them this round. Chances are goog I'll get some commodities off them. Hence I trade these for yiurs.
