I started two new hobbies during lockdown; baking (mostly bread) and painting miniatures. I used to paint miniatures for Warhammer back when I was a teenager, and remember how relaxed that always made me, so I figured I could start that up again with all the minis in my collection of boardgames. Works great with an audio book, a podcast or just music in the background. It's incredibly satisfying to finish a figure, and a whole set. The games just feel better when painted.

Oh and the cooking thing - making bread is quite the hipster manly pursuit these days isn't it? And you don't need fancy kit.

Vikings were known for washing, braiding and decorating their beards and hair. So I think it is highly probable that they were the hipsters of that period of history.

Quite possibly the nastiest insult ever slung their way. For shame!

I respect hipsters with weaponry, not sure why but I do!
