I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

'Dictes moy où, n'en quel pays,
Est Flora, la belle Romaine ;
Archipiada, ne Thaïs,
Qui fut sa cousine germaine;
Echo, parlant quand bruyt on maine
Dessus rivière ou sus estan,
Qui beauté eut trop plus qu'humaine?
Mais où sont les neiges d'antan!

Où est la très sage Heloïs,
Pour qui fut chastré et puis moyne
Pierre Esbaillart à Sainct-Denys?
Pour son amour eut cest essoyne.
Semblablement, où est la royne
Qui commanda que Buridan
Fust jetté en ung sac en Seine?
Mais où sont les neiges d'antan!'

'Tell me where, in which country
Is Flora [Blossom], the beautiful Roman,
Archipiada, or Thaïs ['most famous for instigating the burning of Persepolis. [...] Alexander liked to "keep Thaïs with him"']
Who was her first cousin;
Echo, speaking when noise one makes
Over river or on pond,
Who beauty was too much more than human?
Oh, where are the snow-flakes of yesteryear!

Where is the very sage Héloïse,
For whom was castrated and then monk-ified
Pierre Abelard in Saint-Denis?
For his love was this trial.
Similarly, where is the Queen
Who ordered that Buridan
Was thrown in a sack in the Seine?
Oh, where are the snows of yesteryear!'

I know Im not exactly a huge poster here.

But if there's two features i would like to have if we were to move over to a new thing.

The ability to use gifs (discord and most phones all use i think tenor gif, or gif hub or something)
The ability to paste something in from the snipping tool. Would make sharing things easier

GIFs are just images, so as Bubba notes, you can use standard [img] tags on them. However, searching for GIFs is not built in.

And being able to paste things in directly from the snipping tool does create a bit of liability, as the forum would then be hosting whatever illegal images you've uploaded. Tiny liability, but more than nothing.

Avatar uploads are an example. Abyss censored my avatar. They wanted to put brains over each breast, but I worked them down to smileys.

Generic reaction gif searching from Tenor or whatever is lazy and boring. It's more interesting when we're all forced to find our own gifs and tag them in manually.

... that gif has to be violating some kind of code of conduct rule regarding eldritch horrors.
