Of course you can. Trade goods can always be used as either resources or influence.

Ah, I thought D'rek said in previous games that the custodians token was special. Mainly the reason I was needing extra TG's, making sure I had enough influence from my planets. Overlooked from my part then. I'll have another think about what I want to do.

Double-checked, found nothing that would preclude you from spending Trade Goods as influence.

If I really wanted to stop Twelve, I'd put my cruiser from Lodor in the sky of MR. That would force him to choose between:

MR is a tasty planet all on its own, but the extra VP and the VP potential with Imperial is too hot to ignore.

So you don't mind paying Gnaw to take MR but you do mind me? Just for clarification. I know he asked first but you could have accommodated both requests. Other than Daemon you do have 4 resources for technology secondary.

Yes, rule 60.5 - maximum of one promissory note from your hand can be traded per trade.
