Oh yeah. Talked myself out of them last game.

All men, all squids, are allotted their span;
Keep safe in your shell,
Pray every day,
Eat well,
Keep cheerful...
At the last, still you shall turn to ash;
Our bodies shall fall to dust, but
Our knowledge shall enlighten the worlds,
Our prestige shall be the envy of all,
Our names shall echo forever beyond the stars;
And so, with joy in our tentacles,
The Jol-Nar delve the universe.

Ooh, Jol-Nar should be interesting to have around!

Nekro and jol nar... This could get interesting.
Jol nar are by far and away the leaders for best race in all the stat rankings I've seen so will be interesting to see what happens with an experienced player like d'rek.
Also gnaw as the neckro is going to be fun, I'm glad I'm relatively far away.

Is Khell really going to ask us to submit a poem for speaker token? if so I won't bother. I don't have a creative bone in my body and was super happy with my barely passing grades in all my English/Language Arts classes in school.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Yeeeaaaah, they were definitely mad over-powered in 3rd edition (they could research 3 times in a turn). I haven't gotten to see them in 4th edition much yet, and the stats are of course based on playing "properly", i.e. smaller galaxy and max 6 players. And I've never played them before in either edition. This is gonna be interesting!

Just put that methodical mind to it, I’m sure you can come up with something to delight/horrify And yes I am, unless there are any serious objections.

So, question.
What happens when the Jol-Nar and Muaat exchange racial PMs and Jol-Nar researches War Sun through the Muaat PN? Can Muaat play the Jol-Nar PN and research their advanced War Suns?

A very fine introduction to the Jol-Nar, D’rek! Do I spy some iambic pentameter?

3 times! Wow, I thought they were bad in the edition. Certainly makes a very different game from all the other races, I'm hoping we see some interesting things.

Really??
Not objecting. Just panicking.

I would say no because Jol-Nar is not researching to get that War Sun tech, they are using an action to gain it (like purchasing a pre-made blueprint, rather than prototyping it in your own labs and factories). And because they didn’t research, Muaat can’t then use the Jol-Nar PN to get their advanced War sun.
Also the Jol-Nar PN says it doesn’t count for faction tech, by which I know it means Jol-Nar faction tech, but I guess it should also count for other races’ unique tech.

I think you can't use it that way ("War Sun" and "Prototype War Sun" are different units/technologies, and Muaat is not allowed to use ordinary War Suns (likewise, Arborec couldn't upgrade their "Letani Warrior" into "Infantry II"), but I'm not entirely sure.
