Thanks Blend, thatís a super help! And yep, I donít mind about asteroid fields touching anomalies, thatís fine. The only thing I would say is that I think homeworld 3 should be in the hex above where it is, as it and 4 are currently too close.

Okay, so this is the race/position selection order. Remember, you can choose either race or homeworld position for your first choice, the last person gets to do both at the same time, and then we go in reverse order back to the first person. This, I think, will also be the round-the-table order as in Blendís game.

1: Tapper
2: Nom
3: Morgoth
4: IH
5: Twelve
6: Blend
7: Tatts
8: Dírek
9: Gnaw/Mac

looks like there might need to be a bit more tweaking. Near 7 and 9 the asteroid fields are touching the supernova and Everra/nebula hexes.

Nah, I figure those are fine as the tech to fly through asteroid fields has no pre-requisites.

Yeah, no one is completely hemmed in by anomalies. I think it's fine. The "anomalies can't be adjacent" rule is only more of an issue when building hex-by-hex because otherwise you could quite deliberately cut off a particular player. This looks good to me (game 1 had adjacent anomalies, too, and it wasn't a problem).

I think homeworld #3 and the empty hex above it are supposed to be the other way around, though. (xpost with Khell)

Interesting how HW#9 has the most res/inf immediately nearby, but then the adjacent HWs 1 and 8 are the next-highest (#3 looks up there, too). Guessing/hoping the top-left will be a hotbed of conflict.

#6 looks really far/hard to get to. 8 and 4 look the most defensible.

Every position except for #2 has a good "forward base" planet (a planet with 2 or more resources and 2 hexes away from the HW towards MR), though 5 and 7 will have to fight for theirs.

Dírik and Tatts, looks like we might have some room for cooperation on our choices.

Yeah. But let's see what the others leave for us. They might pick all the races we wanted before it gets to us anyways. Or they might all pick homeworld spots and it won't be much of an issue.

Curse you!!! I was actually gonna potentially give up my chance at playing Muaat for that starting spot if it was still available when it got to me! LoL.

Indeed. 9 is worth having last pick of race. After all that's still a choice of what, 4?

Don't open this.

Is tapper starting as speaker? Or is that going to be randomly assigned?

Thanks for that, I suppose it would help people if they actually knew their choices lol. I will set up the chat and game threads when I get back, probably on Tuesday morning.

Speaker goes to the person who writes the best short poem about their chosen race.
