If you can't relate to any of the North American sports, you can always just follow MLS. A lot of European stars go here for retirement, so you can think of it as a slower, less skilled Champion's League

I would recommend looking into Houston area. Lots of medical opportunities. Learn Spanish though if you do. I ll always reco my beautiful wonderful state of Louisiana. My area is booming though idk what medical opportunities are like. Google Lake Charles and see. Definitely wouldn't use the word yank in the Gulf states. Snow is rare hence me FREAKING THE FUCK OUT on here in sheer magical delight any time I see it. Weather wise it's wet muggy heat in July and August(though this is the coolest August in ages) with cold crisp snow free winters, it will occasionally get below freezing in January. There are Hurricane scares though. Tornadoes are rare. Massive fires don't happen here like on the scale of the ones on west coast I should say. They are much more easily put out. No earthquakes.

It's a lovely place but flat terrain wise.

Good luck.

You should come to Norway. We have snow by the truckload, and you can have as much as you want!

What are bed bugs? How scared should I be?

Does it really cost a 100 dollars a week for a once weekly visit by a cleaning service? In south Africa you could get a cleaning lady every day of the week for less.

Will I likely still need a car? I believe car ownership in say New York is not necessary. Is this the exception rather than the rule.

Will I become a shut in that orders everything from fruit to toilet paper via amazon?

Do Americans really move that much? I once read that the average American has never left their state or some such but I also see that is seems almost a right of passage to go to a university in a different state, work in a different state. Do people state hop a lot when job hopping?

Should I learn Spanish?

--They're very rare.

Does it really cost a 100 dollars a week for a once weekly visit by a cleaning service? In south Africa you could get a cleaning lady every day of the week for less.

--Close to that, depending on where you are. This was one of the big surprises for my in-laws when they moved here from Botswana. Going from being able to easily afford help to it being incredibly expensive.

Will I likely still need a car? I believe car ownership in say New York is not necessary. Is this the exception rather than the rule.

--You should be fine in most larger cities with trains and buses. If you're in a smaller city a car will probably be a necessity. Unless you live somewhere warm you can ride a bike year round.

Will I become a shut in that orders everything from fruit to toilet paper via amazon?

--Yes

Do Americans really move that much? I once read that the average American has never left their state or some such but I also see that is seems almost a right of passage to go to a university in a different state, work in a different state. Do people state hop a lot when job hopping?

--Different for everyone. And most go to college in-state because you get discounts for going in a state you live in.

Should I learn Spanish?

--It helps everywhere, but if you live in the south/southwest, probably.

If you move to America and become a shut in, then you're not doing America right. Where else in the world can you surf in the morning and then go skiing in the afternoon (California). You will probably have no need for a television once you move here because there is so much to do and see in the real world. If you move to America and just spend your days in doors watching television and playing video games and ordering everything off of Amazon, then you are a sad, sad, person who is probably depressed and needs therapy.

Women in America love foreign accents. So if you have an interesting story to go with your accent (if you don't make one up), you should be knee deep in poontang.

Actually it's been my experience that those who were born in Canada, with 2 Dutch, 1 German, and 1 Italian grandparents are the most attractive.

Just say you once shook hands with Nelson Mandela and you had a giraffe living in your back yard.

Have a picture of the garaffe and you. Talk about how you found him as a baby after poachers had killed his parents and how you hand raised him. When he was old enough you released him to the wild. But you miss him so much.

That would take care of exotic, loves animals, parenting ability, nurturing.... Gonna get laid.

I'm not joking or lying when I say the following: my father's nose was broken by an elephant that picked my ten year old father up and threw him into a tree.

It's hard to believe if you don't know my family, but it's the actual truth.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

Who cares about truth these days? Venge’s story is way more compelling.
