Also... the Troop Transport from Rebels! I got the lego version for my son last Christmas, and it's now just appeared in an ep of Mando so its value has probably just skyrocketed!

99% him. I just fixed up a bit about 1/3 of the way through when he had a slight misalignment requiring going back about 12 steps to fix it, that's all.

Not bad for an 8 year old with a 10+ kit, I thought.

I knew it was coming this season, so I have been crash coursing my wife through Ahsoka on TCW and Rebels (and by default, Siege of Mandalore and Bo Katan ect.) and we literally had just done the Temple Bombing before MANDO Ep3, and after we went right into the Siege of Mandalore stuff from TCW S7, after that we will do various REBELS episodes, and I'm hoping to be done before she comes proper in the Filoni-written episode.

So she KIND of got the excitement. Not at my level, mind you, but still excited.

Well I'm caught up now. Episode 2 was a bit naff tbh but the spider things were suitably terrifying.

Episode 3 was great. Those other Mando's were ace. Reading the above comments and not having all the background knowledge you guys do I wasn't so excited but I really like where the plot is going. Hope they show up again!

I agree about missing Ashley Eckstein's voice. There are a few visual issues with the costume overall but I dont want to be negative about it. I think Rosario Dawson played Ahsoka well in every way she could control. She used a mostly soft spoken tone and I saw many looks and mannerisms that were Ahsoka. When she force pushed the stone to Grogu(???) everything about her hand and finger movement was 100% Ahsoka. The action scenes were well done, I have no complaints there. Though we were all scoffing at the magistrate holding her own for so long but maybe Ahsoka was letting her feel confident for a reason? We were puzzled why there wasn't much use of Ahsoka's reverse lightsaber grip but then she broke it out with the one saber and the duel ended in a hurry!

There were so many nods to things throughout the SW universe and the more immersed one is in said universe, the more tiny thrills you received. Morai perched on the tree branch right before Mando meets Ahsoka and another Loth cat! Ahsoka's reference to Anakin when turning down training Grogu was poignant, especially since the Clone Wars final 4 eps are so recent.

The reference to Thrawn was a thunderbolt! This alone throws out so many possibilities! Does she want info on Thrawn because he was last seen with Ezra? It seems very likely that Ahsoka is getting her own show but will it be the Rebels sequel, essentially, or something more/different?

The next ep should be VERY interesting, with possibility of another jedi showing up?! And WHO saved Grogu from Anakin's youngling massacre at the coruscant temple?? One would think a force user?

So much to digest and ponder about!

I know what you mean about how important the ship's become. While I'm not in love with either Razorcrest or Slave 1 (my favorites: Millennium Falcon, X-wing, Ghost & Shadowcaster), there is no denying they are iconic. It's a big deal that Razorcrest is destroyed. I had a thought that Mando might go back to Ahsoka for help and we'd get more of her, but I guess not. My son was HUGELY into Boba Fett from a young age so seeing him and Slave 1 was enjoyable. I like Ming-na Wen and her character. Cant say I'm impressed with the Ultron/Iron Man Dark troopers.
