Main plot was nicely tied up, but there are definitely a few loose ends still unsolved. Which is going to bug me. Who was Regina's dad if not Tronte? Was it Bernd? Who are Peter's parents (didn't think Helge was his dad) and why did he just show up in Winden one day? Who is Helge's dad (probably doesn't really matter, actually)?

I assume it is just a matter of time before some fan will splice the seasons in such a way that you get a chronological view of each key character. Shou,d be interesting to see how it holds up. This was an amazing feat of escaping the labyrinth. Bloody hell. Epic.

An amazing ride is a good way to put it. We finished the final 2 eps last night. Not exactly how we thought things might go but it makes sense.

If the quick scene of the "original" world at the end is a clue, Regina's father may have been Bernd in all 3 worlds. We, also, thought Peter's mother was going to matter but she never did. Maybe Helge just got lucky once? I saw a huge family tree laid out somewhere on Youtube and it had a black square where Helge's father should be. I remember his mother telling Noah (while Helge was missing or just after his return) that she thought he was of the devil, or something along those lines. Definitely gave the impression Helge didn't come from Bernd. Katerina's mother was a piece of work, huh? Good Lord. The only thing that I still have trouble making complete sense of is Hannah and her trip to the 50s. What was her actual goal? Can't possibly have been just to get knocked up...by Tiedemann, of all people? Seems like something is missing there. And we STILL don't know what happened to either of Waller's eyes or his arm!

There is still a good bit to digest and a rewatch is paramount. So far though, I am quite at peace with the show's wrap up. Which is saying something, considering the expectations. It wasn't explosive, but it makes sense and that is much more important, I think.

Hannah originally travelled across because she knew that the Apocalypse was about to happen (Jonas had told everyone in the bunker about it) and she wanted to start afresh with Ulrich in 1954. However, when she spoke to Ulrich in the police station, he didn't sound sincere about his love for her and she basically left him to his fate. Not being able to return to 2019 (as the apocalypse would hit there soon), she must have seen Egon as a good option to try and start a new life in 1954.

On episode 9 season 1 and I’m really enjoying it.

Took a couple episodes for the dubbing not to be jarring, and some of the dialogue is still a little off.

Stoked to see where it goes.

Don't worry, this show almost demands to be watched multiple times, in its entirety. You can go subtitles next run through!

I've finished season 2. I keep working out the character twists before the reveals and so busy feeling smart that I am then completely blindsided by the final thing. It's good.

I've watched it all with dubbing so that I don't have to wear my reading glasses (yes I'm that old!) since I'm crashed out watching in bed most of the time. You don't notice after a while although the lack of glasses may help on that front.

Finished. My super quick review.


Dark was really good, at times great.

Season 1 did a really good job of setting everything up and setting the hook DEEP.

Season 2 was amazing, expanded on everything in ways that made sense and was interesting.

Season 3 was still good, but i felt it got repetitive at times. The knot...how do you know that?!.....the knot....

It was still a solid season and i was completely satisfied with the ending. It just felt....stretched.


Overall it was excellent. Season 2 is one of the best seasons of television i've ever watched.

Gonna give it a few months, then do a rewatch with the ole lady.

I agree about the seasons, Slow Ben. I still loved se03, but it couldn't keep up with the amazing second one.
