So what did he pass you?
Tatts early in SH game: Hmm, so if I'm liberal I should have voted Nein to make sure I'm president? I'm not that selfish

Tatts later in SAME game: I'm going to be a corrupt official. I have turned from my liberal ways, and now will vote against the pesky liberals. Viva la Fascism.
When Venge's turn comes, he will get a yes from Mess, Dolmen, Nevyn and Venge but a no from the 3 fascists and me. **** with my Government, and i'll **** with yours

Pretty sure 'our' strategy is to vote in players that partook in liberal policies and avoid players that partook in fascist policies avoiding unknowns where possible.

I wouldn't call it a strategy so much as shotgun common sense.

Ok.

So all we learned is that you are not both fascists.

Contrary to Dolmen's first impression, Venge passing two liberal policies is not great confirmation of Venge, because if there were two, then unless both Dolmen and Venge are fascists, Venge would know he has to pass at least one liberal policy and it will be enacted. And since Venge did not give Dolmen a choice, we get no extra verification of Dolmen either.

Still, a net positive result.

There hasn't been any discussion on next government yet. I am easing away from my default. I think given how well things are currently going, and the face that Dolmen and Mess are clustered and going to be presidents soon, it may make more sense to make Nom chancellor, so we can get second verification there, too, and a safe landing spot on the other side of Tatts/Cause.

But I am open to opinions. I'll let it ride a bit longer before making this official.

I don't think it's so bad that Venge didn't "test" Dolmen. This way at least puts venge into a particular corner of being either VPI or fascist trying really, really hard to not look it (i.e. Hitler). It's less info on Dolmen, but more info on Venge.

Its not any info on Venge.

Again, 2 liberal policies remove all choice from the president unless both pres and chancellor are fascists. Testing or not is a matter of opinion, but again, if he were fascist, he would know that the choice doesn't matter.

You could argue that it makes it less likely that he is Hitler, since Hitler would not know whether the chancellor was fascist and perhaps want to keep the option open. But in general, we learned little here.

The same would go for Dolmen by that logic, but he did actually pass 1L/1F to Messremb

Dolmen saw 2 fascist, 1 liberal, no? Or are you implying Dolmen ditched a liberal policy and lied (and of the successful presidents but Venge could have done this)

Pretty sure Dolmen said he got 2 liberal and 1 fascist, but I could be mistaken

Just wanted to highlight what Mac told me. The next president gets powers from any fascist policy this terms govt put through. Alot at stake considering our next president. perhaps we benefit from rejecting the first two govts and dealing with Nom and his candidate?

Well no fascists policy was put through so why is Dolmen acting like the next President gets fascist powers regardless? Why is there benefit from rejecting the next two elections?

I guess Dolmen misunderstood what Mac said as well.

Or didn't properly understand the gravity of it.

I understood, Tatts can go ahead as pres and we can still deal with Cause separately. Going straight to Nom kinda echoes your argument to get a known govt in earlier and skipping unknowns but we can still get info in worth having by giving Tatts and D'rek a turn in power. I posed that bit about Nom as a question because I was still working it out.

Also I confirm Mess in my reply to him, I wrote " a Good read" in my response to his nod of approval post.

To make it clear I did receive two fascist and one liberal and Mess went Liberal. I can fact check mess on his claim but no one can fact check me so take my claim as you will.

You've voted Nein on every single vote except for the one where ItWaesNom was President, and now you put him as your chancellor candidate. Hmm...

If I am not around to discuss then I suggest to you Mess that you vote in Venge as Chancellor next, we should get another liberal policy there. Can we keep flipping between Venge and Mess as Chancellor's if possible? Is this bad strategy in case one is Hitler?

I put the matter up for suggestions and arguments, and no one, including you, had any.

Also not sure why you think I'd care who was chancellor if I was fascist.

Policy counts thus far:

1 lib , 2 fasc
1 lib, 2 fasc
1 lib, 2 fasc
2 lib, 1 fasc

Than means 1 liberal policy left in the deck against 4 fascist ones. If I were a fascist, I could fail a policy with any chancellor. And I certainly wouldn't be putting hitler on a policy I planned to fail.

So what are you even talking about?
