Weird timing as Mr Not a Blacksmith and I had been saying recently we were going to re-watch the Undeadwood miniseries, as we watched it on some of our first dates together. Not a chance now.

Plenty of people in the United States collect weapons without any intent to use them. Buy a real sword, etc. Swing it around drunkenly at parties, maybe shave a face or two (off...).

It would be better if most people were limited to non-dangerous replicas (with the exception of academics---they need to defend themselves after all---and maybe some actual licensed blacksmiths?). But
