Yeah, great episode! Quite poignant for our world and whee we might be headed with social media and the court of public opinion.

Okay despite my earlier words I watched it.
To me it was out of place because I have seen the black mirror a show that tackled these issues, this one in particular even, and does it better

The Black mirror show was interesting and that was my first impression of this (rip off). But the black mirror was still focused on social standing.
The intersting and topical addition in the Orville was people voting on facts, not to mention crimes. And the ex machina also demonstrated how simple a society lie that is to manipulate

Tatts early in SH game: Hmm, so if I'm liberal I should have voted Nein to make sure I'm president? I'm not that selfish
Tatts later in SAME game: I'm going to be a corrupt official. I have turned from my liberal ways, and now will vote against the pesky liberals. Viva la Fascism.
When Venge's turn comes, he will get a yes from Mess, Dolmen, Nevyn and Venge but a no from the 3 fascists and me. **** with my Government, and i'll **** with yours

RENEWED FOR SEASON 2! YES!
Edit: It is apparently Fox's most watched debut tv show since EMPIRE.

All caught up. The last episode was fun. It will be interesting to see how Kelly and Ed's relationship proceeds.
Holy crap, Darulio is played by Rob Lowe. I never realized that.

It's interesting as the whole Darulio "in heat" thing essentially allows Ed to forgive Kelly for her initial transgression with him as she was not likely responsible for her actions. Even if he wasn't in heat and she did it without pheromone assistance...the possibility of it allows Ed to assume it was under pheromones and he can get past it...meaning Kelly and Ed won't be encumbered by her cheating in their relationship going forward.
It was a solid episode I thought.

Yup, I liked how the left the door open on what happened a year ago. So they can either further investigate that scenario or leave it up to the audience to come to their own conclusion.

Yeah, it was a clever in-story callback.
Also, has anyone checked to see if Darulio in the pilot was Rob Lowe?

I just watched eps 7, 8 and 9. I keep wondering if this shows going to falter, but I'm still loving it, episode 7 Majority Rule was a contender for best episode of the series so far I think, though I'd still give the edge to episode 4, If The Stars Should Appear was really, really good, I'll be surprised if they better it, but not as surprised as I once was, the quality is so consistent

That was a very good episode. I thought they had a miss with Gordon's fear of surgery, I would have thought Issac's prank would have been a better reference.

Agreed, made me feel sick to my stomach, like I ate something that didn't agree with me.
