Yep. Got a Bungie email announcing the 'Festival of the Lost' event, and in it, it said that it was available to "all players".

In that same email they announced that the Forsaken DLC now includes DLCs I and II (Osiris and Warmind). With the kicker that you also get a "level 30 character boost that lets you jump into Forsaken content right away." Which says to me that they are not at all confident that anyone wants to play the shitty DLC they released prior to Forsaken.

It looks like the mission in the last couple of weeks of the Festival is going to take us back to the D1 Cosmodrome. And machine guns will be back (or at least the Thunderlord).

Really enjoying the Haunted Forest, more than I thought I would. I've managed to get to the seventh branch and get the triumph and emblem for it (had a lucky streak of easier bosses and two very good randoms in my team). The Iron Banner bounties I managed to complete very quickly in the end and get all the armour and weapons, and still have about 80 tokens left over. Also made my first contributions to the clan XP

I still don't have patrols and can't see Xur on the map either. Perhaps I have to complete the Forsaken campaign.

Xur doesn't show up on maps as far as I'm aware.

I usually just check Google or r/destinythegame for his location.

Xur used to show up on the maps in Destiny 2 because instead of just being located in the tower (D1) he could show up anywhere in the system. So it would be quite a 'needle in a haystack' type of search if they didn't reveal him on the maps.

Not sure, but maybe they changed this with the Forsaken DLC?

[EDIT] Did some googling, seems Bungie removed his location icon from the destination maps. Xur not showing on map

Is there some additional reward for finding him now? dunno. As you stated Apt, you can google to find his whereabouts.

Yeah, I've realised I can now see the patrol beacons when I use my ghost on planets. Really weird how they removed the quest to open up patrols but didn't replace it with anything else - nothing tells you what a patrol is or how to start it (not sure why they removed that quest at all, it was one of the few outside beginning of Forsaken where you actually interact with Cayde).

The theory goes that Bungie deliberately set the price so high to reset the economy because a lot of old players had been hoarding them.

An upcoming patch is going to change a lot of things surrounding currencies in the game.

It's a lost sector in the EDZ. If you've been there before it should show up if you hover the curser over the symbols. If not look up the precise location.

All three of course. But I think you get it gradually. Like the final subclass wasn't first unlocked for people until they completed the first part of the Last Wish raid, which was a cool bonus for them (now you can get it in other ways too).

Uh, me and Apt, and Cause is intending to join I believe, with a friend too possibly. So we could have the huge number of five, almost enough for a raid party. But it does mean more stuff to do in terms of bounties and powerful gear, and we can always do smaller parties for nightfall, escalation protocol and blind well.

It wasn't so bad. I struggled at first (I was about 250-300 when it was on), but you just have to play a bit smarter, make sure to go around with others.

Anything labelled powerful gear reward on the map screen will give you a higher drop when you complete the challenge.

Every bounty in IB had a powerful drop attached so I got up loads of levels through that.

If you have time (or if you can?) Grind out the Lost souls in the haunted forest needed to buy the lvl 600 assault riffle. It will pull up the rest of your numbers

I've gotten much Better drops since I equipped it.

Yeah, same. It's actually not too bad a grind and the Infinite Forest is pretty fun.

You probably have a week or so to do her 15 bounties quest which nets you 40 souls + the 15 souls from the actual bounties. The rest is around 10-15 15 minute runs if you Consistently get to branch six or higher. Plus you can find chests with souls in the Forest.

Yep. Not sure, but I think a Mercury chest finder ghost might also help to locate them in the Forest.

At the moment I'm trying to get all the masks, just because the stupid triumph tells me I have to. Need about 90 more souls. I haven't played any of the story since the festival started - which means I still haven't done either Warmind or Forsaken yet.
