Out of Iparth and Mockra, I still believe the leader would be at the start of the train. So I am going to vote Mockra. Just going to hear more from Trake, Kaschan and Alky.

I'm going to try and get some posts in this afternoon or this evening. Still kicking Ment for the way he revealed, but looking at his finds I think the last recruiter has to be Trake, IE or Alkend. I know some of you have lumped me into this list because I didn't want to vote day 1, but if you consider how unpopular it is around here to not lynch, I think you can see that I stuck my neck out on that one by making my opinion known. I could have just not voted and done the "oops! did I miss timeout?" approach.

Off the top of my head, I've thought that Alkend has been fairly helpful so far this game, which usually reads town for me. I didn't like his post about the leaders possibly knowing the roles of people that they have recruited, and it seems like someone else suggested this earlier on. I'll have to follow back up on that.

Will take a closer look at those 3.

Can't really say I have a strong case on anyone, and very honestly it's been a terrible fucking day of the kind that sucks the life out of you. I am willing to follow Okaros with the Mockra vote.

vote Mockra

Interesting. What is your reason? Considering that we could be close to dday, I would think you'd be a bit more frugal with where you spen d your vote.

Eliminating myself and Okaros, and following my assumption that Beast reached parity, there's 75% of hitting Beast.

I've suspected for quite some time already that IE is a recruiter. But if I'm right about the math, we won't lynch them anyway. And if I'm wrong about them being a recruiter, they're more likely town than cult (they'd be a very handy scapegoat for the cult to keep around for late game). So I'm gonna go with one of the other three. I trust Okaros' judgement to some extent and the rest is gut, I was suspicious about you from early on.

So I have been leaning on IE myself after looking at his posts. Looking at his play, I think he has been coasting all game.

Sorry for no presence. Been out of town and will be until tomorrow evening. I will try to read up tonight. Wouldn't have signed up if I knew I'd be gone.

Sorry.

I'm here. I haven't had a reread of the thread as yet, but here's where I think I stand.

Okaros and Kaschan are recruits at worst because of past happenings etc.

Alkend is in a kind of middle state, their reveal has not been countered, and on its own that would normally be enough for me to be confident that they're not a recruiter, but that post which Okaros highlighted in which they speculated that recruiters might find out the roles of recruits throws a question mark over them.

Iparth and Mockra are both potential recruiters. I'm not sure as yet which one I'm leaning more towards, and this is where a reread comes in. Mockra seemed adamant about lynching Gamelon, which might suggest they're a Hanas recruit, BUT it's equally possible that they 1) genuinely thought Gamelon was the other recruiter, or 2) felt that lynching a finder was more pressing. As for Iparth, I recall very little there off the top of my head.

Mockra makes a good point about their play on day 1. It was a risky thing to suggest no lynch, and it immediately put them in the spotlight. Would a cult leader do that? This leans me more toward Iparth than anything I've read from Iparth themselves so far. Still some way to go in my reread though. Probably won't be making a decision till morning.

Blergh, cult is so much worse than regular scum. You can't ever be certain of anyone because anyone could have been turned at some point. I suppose maybe not Okaros, because the CFs keep coming, but even then what with recruits happening after deaths it's not 100%.

Here's a thought: If we have parity like Alkend suggests, and Mockra hasn't been jumped on to get the lynch despite having one vote on them for some time now, does that mean they are cult and possibly leader?

I've reread, and despite Alkend's comment, I still think he's town. I wonder if Hanas' recruits reverted or if we are split 3 ways.

Ok, while just about everyone in the thread has mentioned IE, no one has voted for him. I have been on the fence about his coasting, but this looks like distancing from at least a couple of you.

IE has managed to position himself toward the middle or end of every lynch train to show paricipation, while still managing to be forgotten by the rest of the thread.

He's the last recruiter,

For some reason the forum wouldn't load at work so skim-catchup now.

Oh yes, this is an actual content post. Just to get it in before the rush, stop whinging about changes in posting because today I've got home from work, not got anything immediately to do at home, my father who is staying this week is asleep still so I'm chilling with a beer. Deal with it.

Look at Iparth voting for Gamelon when earlier in the day he was voting Hanas. What changed his mind? Well I will look further into the day but right now alarm bells are ringing at Alkend.

What changed my mind was that stupid statement from Gamelon about not revealing what the effect of recruitment had on his role.

I'm not gonna waste time on convincing you I've not been recruited, because it's not relevant relevant right now. Whether you believe I'm town or Hanas' recruit, we still need to go after Beast and you would need some serious brain gymnastics to label me Beast at this point, lol. Why don't you answer my question what makes you so sure Kaschan is town?

Is this Alkend admitting to being a recruit?

I am going to nail Trake as town side of thing because of this post. That is good reasoning from him. He is also not on the Gamelon train which is where I think the other recruiter will be.

Why so sure on Gamelon? Either train would be a good choice for a Recruiter to be on

Guilty as charged. Very busy last week, busy all weekend, busy Monday (usually my peak day) and only just finding a little bit of time now. Shit happens.

Or cult are waiting for the leader to indicate a direction they'd be willing to go so they can look for justification to jump sure in the knowledge it's not a recruit being voted for.

Generally recruits stay recruited.

If only. No time to make cases previously so not a hope in hell of being at the front of a train. Low frequency of visits therefore less inclined to vote earlier in case I'm missing something. Late train position because LYNCHING IS THE ONLY WAY MOST OF US KNOW OF TO GET RID OF THE RECRUITERS. Pardon me for trying to support town.

You may want to support your mid/late claims with actual PS updates to show position on trains for, you know, facts. Also look at the position of others on said trains...

So a couple of things are bugging me as I read so I'll do this in parallel with quoting above: The assumptions regarding recruitment is one that's been getting me from the get-go. Who has been certain that recruitment happens each Night? Because in a game with two cults, to me that is excessive. Once every two nights provides a lot more balance and gives town an actual chance rather than being people to play round until a recruiter decides they can play too. So if anyone wants to track down those assuming that it is every night, they get a mild dose of PI from me.

Recruitproofs - Alkend comes to mind primarily by being the person keep going on about people being recruit proof. Now as with the death of one recruiter it isn't an issue any longer I have no qualms saying this - if I get recruited then I then cannot be recruited by the other cult. Does everyone have this? If not then Alkend keep bringing it up makes me wonder if he got notified of a failed Recruit.

I still don't like the Okaros CF claim. It bugs me that Blend would leave a way in game for a role to prove to thread that they've not been recruited. If they are the CF ad it doesn't work exactly as they claim then they could be feeding us bullshit.

Not going to provide a great deal of logic to justify this but my feelings are that it is one of Alkend (despite the claim - another thing, who dropped early on that Recruiter would know the Recruit therefore if they know that they recruited X who is Y then they can claim to be Y in the firm knowledge their recruit isn't going to call them on it (yes, okay, now found Trake making the same point as I catch up) ) or Mockra. Leaning more Alkend at the moment although Mockras decision to target someone who has barely been involved on what has been claimed as potential D-day after getting a single vote on them stinks to high heaven.

Going to muse for a bit before voting.

Hi Iparth, the reasoning on why the recruiter would vote Gamelon over Hanas is the benefit to himself.

Lynching Hanas would get rid of a potential recruiter

Lynching Gamelon would get rid of a potential recruiter or a potential finder.
