Me too. This is unusual for me. I found the W3 upgrades and buildings interior/camera controls irritating. I got tired of Far Cry and Assassins Creed as the landscapes were basically cut and paste camps.
In Horizon though, the interiors featured (most buildings are inaccessable, ruling out pointless searches) like the cauldron are big enough to manage 3rd person effectively. The environment and hunting experience are closest to Red Dead Redemption, and maybe Dark Souls for the bigger machine combat. I like the music, the exploration, and the sidequests and objectives are engaging.
There's nothing not to like. If I could improve anything it would be the human AI-I've approached each bandit camp expecting to have trouble but have cleared them with reltive ease. But I suppose it is still better (more real) that you can headshot a human with an arrow at later levels, than just making them almost impervious (again like Far Cry which just made everything into bullet sponges)
Keep saying it, but I'm constantly blown away by the detail. I want to see how they made this game. It's seriously set the bar way up for any games that follow.
