And I'd like to know what my slip was because I appear to have missed it. I found it interesting Bubba never explained it.

The slip was the way worded a post calling us the so called townies and we should not be trusted.

My gut says that team scum this game is you and HD being the killers with Mac as a symp. That being said taking into account my track record it is more than likely Ment and serg are the killers, with Blend as a symp. No real feeling on Nom.

I just read that as Trump role play.

That's exactly what it was.

I particularly liked the way that Khell was quoting himself as one of the so-called.

I don't have any real read on Ando, Bubba, and HD, but also the very thought of re-reading this thread makes me wanna kill myself. I don't have enough energy left for that today, so these three will have to wait until tomorrow to get some attention.

For now, I find Khell's backpedalling a huge red flag. He was distancing from his earlier conviction about JPK just before Night was resolved and now he basically admitted his post from D1 was bullshit. Me no likes.

With the case on JPK proven wrong, I'm also still inclined to go after Nom.

And, of course, I would be more than happy to lynch Blend for the same reason as D1.

I think I will go with what makes the most sense to me. I think Kell is one of the killers, not by the way he has played, but how those around him have. HD slipped on to Kells train when it looked like his lynch was going to happen (it's how I would play it if it looked my partner was going to be lynched) and macs supper whiny post gives it more validity to me. I'm going to start day two off with a vote on HD his fence sitting posting style, and the way it looked like he was hiding on the Kell train is all I have at the moment. I'm open to a better case if one gets made.

vote HD

So you think that Khell is a killer and therefore you're voting against someone else?

He thinks HD and khell are partnered killers.
But why no vote on Khell is kinda curious.

I was distancing from it ever since JPK self voted, which I was not expecting. Take that how you want but it seems eminently sensible to me to start questioning your prior convictions after a move like that.

And the "I won't fight a day 2 lynch" post was made at a time when I was certain I would be lynched, so I was just saying whatever to get attention on JPK for day 2 - which, turns out, would have been wrong. Oops? Still, could have been worse, he could have been roled.

What are your thoughts on how others have played around your day one train.

To answer your question Bubba, let's take a look at the final tallies:

Quote

It is Day 1. 7 hours 3 minutes remaining
Players still alive: (JPK, Nom, Ment, Tatts, Khell, HD, Blend, Ando, Messremb, SiergieJ, Mac, Bubba)12 players alive.
7 votes to lynch, 6 to go night.
4 votes Khell (Blend, Bubba, Messremb, HD)
7 votes JPK (Khell, Mac, Nom, Ment, Ando, Tatts, JPK)
1 vote Blend (SiergieJ)

Players not voted: ()

JPK has been lynched. He was RI.

Now resolving night.

The fantastic thing is that everybody voted. Everybody had an opinion, or at least pretended that they did. Now, what are we thinking re scum numbers? Presumably, more than one.

I would reckon that scum would board separate trains when it's as close as it was. And they don't care about no lynch at this stage because it just means another day of no one looking at them, so they won't feel any pressure to both add to the lynching train.

Taking off JPK and Tatts, the trains are very similarly weighted, 4 and 5 (I am discounting Siergiej for the moment).

So we have Blend, Bubba, Mess, HD - which one is scummiest?

And we have Mac, Nom, Ment, Ando (and me, if you're not me) - which one is scummiest?

I would start with analysing the JPK train voters, because I think that there is a greater likelihood of multiple scum there, on the successful train, rather than on my train...but as I said, my personal suspicion is that they're split.

How about this. Lynch my target, whose scum CF will indicate I am town. If he's not scum (and he will be) then lynch me, I won't even fight it or nothing.

It's a win-win.

Now, are you willing to stand by this?

Nope. I don't give up if it's in town's interests for me not to.

See, while Blend's "case" on you was batshit insane, that in itself leads to temptation of VPI-ing you, which would be a mistake, imo ...

In your opinion? How could it possibly not be a mistake?

Hasn't that been quoted a couple of times? I assumed you'd still be somewhat with Blend, why I didn't ask.

I was with Blend yesterday because I like a Khell lynch purely because it is Khell. For D1 that's enough. There was that little slip from him too.

For d2 we can start to play proper Mafia.

This was no regular D1, yeah a lot of crap throughout but jokes aside there was still a lot of actual content too. I believe there were better reasons to vote pretty much anyone(perhaps even including Khell) than the ones you all provided for voting Khell.

I didn't slip onto the Khell train. I explained why. I thought we needed to get rid of Khell or Blend, or otherwise D2 would be the same as Day 1. Now that happens not to have happened so far, but Blend's gone quiet for now. Hopefully it will continue to be typical mafia now.

Also, I could have slipped off onto someone else pretty easily. I didn't because of the above reasoning.

If he was my partner, I would have been much more likely to help lynch JPK by moving over to that train. JPK had to vote himself off because I didn't, and notice I was NOT on the RI town train.

But, I can't really defend my overall play-style. It is the way it is. I said earlier that I'm on the fence until I'm not. I got off the fence and stayed there.

I've felt your eye on me since your post earlier about "fence-sitting," it's obvious you don't like that style. But it is what it is.

I find it a bit strange that with everything that has gone down on D1 you come out swinging at a much less likely target.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I'm not first person to say you posting was "fence sitting" and as I said, if I thought my partner was going to be lynched I would be on his train right about where you were. Not on an the town train. And also as I said, this all I have at the moment. Nothing personal even though you are a no good Colts fan.

Oh, I know it's not personal. Just playing the game. We'll see if I can't find something a little more solid for you to sink your teeth into when I get some time.

Apologies all. Got dragged out to one of my best friend's real birthday (as opposed to. To the early celebration at Friday) so Mafia took a backseat to life. Feb is a busy drinking month). Hopefully more productive tomorrow

Now I'm home I can do a decent non-mobile search and figure it is the "Indianapolis Colts" who play American Football. You could have just said that rather than being snarky. I CBA to figure out if they're any good.

Also, American Football is weird.
