Impact how? Do you mean in stats and points, or do you mean player fatigue? Obviously having to play multiple games during a week will be more exhausting, so clubs that get further in the cup will have a more tired squad, which could negatively impact their performance in other competitions. Which is why a lot of clubs often field a lot of squad reserves for cup games, if they have enough depth in their squad. But cup results have no statistical bearing on the seasonal competition standings; they are two separate competitions. Same for the other cups (League cup, European cup ties).

Any and all of the above. Thanks. When FA Cup matches are scheduled, the PL regular season 'pauses' during those days right? So the impact on player burnout is negligible, yes? In other words, it's just the next week of matches.

Not always, sometimes you just have extra matches scheduled in during the week. So teams that have already been knocked out of a tournament have more time to recover inbetween games.

0-0 against Liverpool. Earlier this season I'd have jumped at that! Didn't expect to be in this place...

wasn't a great game.
i'll take 0-0 given how resurgent Ole has united.
main concern is Firmino leaving old trafford on fucking crutches
What about Kapa yesterday? he's goin to face some backlash for the pantomime

Yeah that was weird but they're trying to play it down. Just another nail in Sarri's coffin IMO.

What happened to Real Madrid? Not that I'm complaining. Was it Ronaldo? He made that much of a difference for them? And maybe Zidane has manager? In the lead up to the match they said Gareth Bale is widely disliked now and has refused to learn any Spanish to be able to communicate better. Wowsers.
My Spurs went through in UCL action. I wish they would close the gap in the EPL and stay close, but that gap is widening and it has become a two team contest.

Aging team.
Winning the CL only papered over the cracks.
Haven't replaced Ronny's goals.

Garbage VAR decision for hand ball penalty. Can't say I'm mad at it though, because I like Ole Gunnar Solskjær. He's executed the duty of manager beyond anyone's expectations I would think (based on the roaring dumpster fire state it was in when he stepped in). Think he'll be offered control after the season? (with lucrative contract?)

He has to be given the job.
It will be a travesty if he doesn't after the run they've out together.
Fair play to United, PSG were wasteful in front of goal, United took their chances. A young side that looked quite mature of themselves.
Never a fucking penalty though.

I heard someone posit that Utd are deliberately not giving OGS the position as he is still trying to prove himself and get the job. This kind of makes sense because we don't want the team getting too comfortable but at the same time how far do you want to push it?
