HOLY SHIT!

My mouth is agape, my nipples are tingling. That could be the craziest match I've ever seen! Come on Spurs!

[EDIT] VAR works! Until we get screwed over by it, then it doesn't, at which point it should be retired.Posted Image

Congrats Spurs and good luck.

United may be out but at least City are now too.

Damn, after Saturday, Spurs and Man City players are going to know each other better then their own families.

Has there ever been a team to win the Champions League that didn't finish in a top four position when the EPL season finished?

Not out of the British clubs that have won it recently AFAIK. Where did Liverpool finish in 2005 Macros?

Liverpool did it in '05 and screwed Everton out of it when they finished 4th ;)

After that the rules where changed. It's quite convuluted how it works now but they've basically considered every eventuality

Nah, Chelsea did it to Spurs in 2012 too, but after that... :)

Damn, been a tough few weeks for Man U. You guys think OGS' initial lustre has been somewhat scuffed up a bit and now some doubts may be creeping in? I sure hope not. He's actually made me tolerate Man U a little more (I like him!). I think the overall narrative is that he's not to blame and that instead there are a few players who are all about their own 'shine' (at the detriment to the team) that are probably going to be out of there come summer.

The fundamental problem with ManU is that they keep trying to recreate the Ferguson years. They are trying to recreate the settings and environment in which Ferguson thrived, but in fact it is just stiffling any progress. They need to rigorously break with that past and remove the yoke if they ever hope to return to relevance. All the Keanes, Scholeses and nevilles that keep harping on zbout what ManU should be and how much better it all was in the Fergie era are not helping one iota.

Yeah if we're not careful we'll become like Liverpool and spend the next 3 decades saying how great we once were...

I think the shadow of Fergus is a massive problem for them.
That and fans can't seem to accept how far their squad is from the likes of city, Liverpool and even spurs.
I've had fans tell me (after oles first few games) that the squad was great, after I had asked him how many players would start for City (my answer was and still is, only De Gea). I struggle to think who I would honestly take at Liverpool over our starting 11.

Trash goal, they were offside. It's probably safe to predict Ajax will advance.

Holy shit that free kick though, at a distance too. It beggars description and sparks the imagination. Messi makes me shake my head in wonderment.

Oh @BoreMess, relax dude. You're always bringing static to my posts. I'm just having fun. If you want to tell me what I did to get your panties up in a bunch, I believe we could actually be friends. Maybe even flutter butterfly kisses on each other's eyelids. You want to try? I'm willing too.

Not sure what you mean, I have absolutely no issues with you at all. Just pointing out that if you think Ajax scored an offside goal, you don't understand the offside rule.

It was close. VAR I suppose gave the refs the right of it, but if you watch it in real time, it's not a stretch to conclude that was off side. I can live with the decision. Only 1 goal, so there is still hope for Spurs.

Pogba would make the team easily before Fabinho started bossing the midfield and Naby Keïta's recent surge in form. Martial or Rashford (also helping with home grown rules) would likely make the bench.

Also: hot damn, Barcelona-Liverpool might have been the most spectacular game of football played this season, except perhaps the City-Spurs game. Gutted by the result, but what a game.
