Oh hi Mael.
It would appear Skillen may have made Moons Spawn.
"THe high king has set his protection on the dhenrabi." ...wtf?
Wait.... The DENIERS are turning grey???

The Skillen and Krul portions are pure gold from an info point of view.

Skillen and K'rul. I loved their parts. So much relevations. And he lost a whole flying mountain :)

And Kallor may be the first conservationist. :)

Woohoo - just started Ch 14 so this thread is VERY well timed for me :) cheers Abyss for the best read-along thread as per usual.

Just you wait till you learn the name of the next dragon to be introduced. Oh how I laughed. SE, yeh evil, evil man!

Yeah, leave it to SE to introduce a perfectly likeable dragon and have it be one we know is in for a bad end.

Likeable Raest is sort of jarring too.

Disagree about Raest. He was always likeable post GotM.

That dragon on the other hand... One has to wonder where her companion is at this point.

Yes, but Raest was a tyrant and would be mass murderer before he chilled out.
As for the dragon, who was Sorrit's companion?

Random thought of the day: Each unveiling of Darkness (the original in Kurald Galain and the second coming in Black Coral) has a rival god nearby (Dorssan Ryl/ The Redeemer). The first unveiling kills the rival, the second is sort of symbiotic with the rival, and both survive. A nice parallel.

Also I am thinking MoI, MT, RG, TtH, Dod, and tCG - plus GotM to an extent - will reveal hitherto unnoticed new layers if re-read after this Kharkanas trilogy. It is interesting how many threads from here (Tiste/ Dragons/ Azathanai/ Jaghut/ Forkrul Assail) become important to those books. "Malazan" book of the fallen feels almost a misnomer for all those books except GotM now that we have context on the bigger tale they were concluding.

Almost, I say, because of course there's the Bridgeburners and the Bonehunters on the other hand.

Yeah, I swapped the Sorrit and Telorast reveals on my last comment and kept quiet waiting for this moment. I absolutely loved her introduction.

They are my favourite duo of this trilogy. I can imagine SE and CAM sounding like that when they hook up for a dig somewhere - whilst their co workers look on dumbfounded at what they are witNess to.

15, 16...

Really Anomander... just sit there and let the old veteran go running into the magic storm wrecking a castle? Really???

Hee... Brood just threw Envy thru a wall :D

Sandalath... Korlat... Draconus.... WTF JUST HAPPENED THERE????

Oh, hai Olar Ethil. Ah, Envy/Spite/Malice mommy confirmed. Draconus you sick fuck. Funny that she's holding a grudge over being lit on fire back in FoD.

Endest Silann... Andii Jesus.

Oh, hai Silanah!

Why yes Emreal, you ARE useless. Which is sort of the point. Rise, also useless. Actually, most of the plotting Kharkanas Andii people are...

Orfantal is getting creeeeepyyyyyy...

Interesting, Drac is already building the wagon. Ah, I see, his finest was the thing Sandy encountered... I think. Still badder than a d'ivers tho'.

Shake and Warden, looking for Shadow.... interesting considering its already starting to manifest.

I had the same reaction there. Probably the most disturbing part of the book.
Something I was thinking about: Is Draconus now the father of Korlat? It was his Finnest, but not him personally.

How are you still not done, Abyss?

That's it, I'm spoiling the ending.

Rake is a secret Jaghut spy.
Tatts early in SH game: Hmm, so if I'm liberal I should have voted Nein to make sure I'm president? I'm not that selfish

Tatts later in SAME game: I'm going to be a corrupt official. I have turned from my liberal ways, and now will vote against the pesky liberals. Viva la Fascism.
When Venge's turn comes, he will get a yes from Mess, Dolmen, Nevyn and Venge but a no from the 3 fascists and me. **** with my Government, and i'll **** with yours

Never thought to compare to a finnest with a d'ivers, but you're right. Drac finnest is a total monster.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.
