Been updating with every DLC religiously, can't believe how much of the world we can play with now.

Ikit is still best legendary lord for sheer insanity (ratling guns & a nuke or two)

but the fact that there are so many different (viable) play styles is just excellent.

Same. And some of the newer factions and LLs are definitely more powerful than the earlier ones. Clan Eshin can, in one single stroke, "Thanos snap" an entire faction, no matter how powerful it might be. Grom the Paunch boosts the humble goblin unit to a rather insane degree and Prince Imrik is just ridiculously overpowered.

My favourite factions are Karaz a Karak, Karak Kadrin, Reikland and Clan Skryre.

Oh, another, but a bit older and ridiculously overpowered legendary lord? Teclis! That guy, properly levelled, can nuke armies by himself.

Screw you all, and have a nice day!

Properly levelled Kroak is great at that too. Just deleting entire units.

Teclis after he was updated is a sight to behold. Just fly over to the other army and nuke it all into tiny pieces, and fly back to your army and watch the following carnage.

I am not sure what my favourite hero is, Franz maybe, Ikit or maybe Teclis. Though I've had enjoyable games with most. Skarsnik is great fun, though capturing his home feels strangely underwhelming. Burning the world with Norsca was satisfying too. And Reapanse! Can't forget charging through endless hordes of skeletons as if they're made of paper.

I think I agree on Imrik being the most powerful LL, at least for combat. Though I'm sure there's some theorycrafters out there whom can point to an exel spreadsheet with the correct technical answer. That's hardly much fun mind you, I prefer speculation.

Have you guys found a favourite unit? I go back and forth between a number of them. I love Grail Knights, but I've had the most joy recently I think with a few groups of well used Nasty Skulkers with the right upgrade. They're so cheap and squishy and yet they eat Dwarves for breakfast.

Thought the cinematic trailer was underwhelming but I assume it's for people who know the characters and have played the other entries.

Certainly to an extent, given that the maps for all 3 games will unify into one massive whole.

But i thought the maggot effects on Nurgle were excellent myself.

two new and (hopefully) interesting human factions with very different flavours, better chaos, and probably lots of cool additions. I am very much looking forwards to this.

Oh yes the chaos god's were cool, it was mainly the face off between Ice Queen and demon warrior.

Just 2021 at present. In the mean time I believe at least 1 more DLC for Warhammer 2 has been confirmed, with all the attendant speculation as to what races will be represented in it.

And of course loads of speculation as to what the pre order bonus race for Warhammer 3 will be (most money seems to be on either Chaos Dwarfs or Ogre Kingdoms)

I'm guessing Dwarves and Skaven. or maybe just Skaven and Skaven.

or not, they did introduce a new minor undead counts faction in the lastest dlc. I'd have like a undead and dwarves dlc, but I reckon it'll be undead and skaven.

Usually the DLC update features at the least 1 WH2 race, and up until the last one, never WH1 DLC lords. All WH1 races except Chaos have 4 lords, so I don't expect any of those (maybe a Dwarves rework?).
Another Tomb Kings Lord would be very welcome for me...

I never got the hang of the Tomb Kings. The slow development kind of stunted the joy for me. I suppose you're right that two WH1 races would be too much, so then I'm guessing Vampire Counts and Skaven, though Tomb kings and Dwarves could be fun too I suppose. A rework of the Dwarves would be welcome either way.

Beastmen need some reworking and it would fit thematically.

Beastmen need a big rehaul, so would probably be done together with chaos in TWW3. Really looking forward to this game, going to be great.

Agree that Imrik is super powerful, but he needs to be because his campaign is freaking hard, at least on higher difficulties.

He has a rough start, but when you've finally cleared out the dark elves and the skaven, and can finally afford a second defensive army, then suddenly the campaign becomes almost absurdly easy.
