For starters, if you're going to use spurious logic to indict me, the least you could do is get your facts straights. The cube from diablO was a utility item. While it did have certain quest uses in terms of creating certain items or portals, it was a utility item. The main purpose of the item was the face it gave you a net increase in inventory space (which was rather limited in the game). It wasn't a weapon.
Secondly while i can agree with the sentiment that hunting low posters is a valid strategy, it isn't as useful this early into the game. I do applaud you for getting the discussion started, and there might be something to be gleamed from the exhcanges above. As such no hard feelings. As far as im concerned you're either a diligent townie or a scheming scum. Time shall tell
As I said I was having internet issues (one of the telegraph poles to the village had come down - it fell in line with the cables so the slack taken up meant the cable didn't part immediately however it was clearly not doing it much good. One vehicle abandoned overnight by it so potentially a traffic accident although the car showed no visible damage) so therefore couldn't do a thorough checkup. My recollection of the cube was that you put weapons in it, add gems and make better weapons, the inventory space increase is incidental to the purpose of the item as it was a quest item. Your post read (and still does read to me) like it was a reference to the Cubes weapon enhancement function.

You find yourselves in a totally original tale of heaven versus hell. Simple-minded humans share the mortal plane with angels and demons, who try to influence them as best they can. The Code states that no direct interference is permitted. Both sides, however, are prone to interpreting the Code more as a set of guidelines than hard and fast rules, and should something happen to awaken their wrath, then it is always humans who will pay first.
You have quite a treasure there in that horadric cube
Whilst the cube reference is a nice way of figuring in the 3 scum as the Prime Evils, the only reason I can see for making the reference like that would be for you to indicate to yours scum partners that you are one of the 3 and that your role PM contained one of the names of them - Baal, Mephisto and Diablo. It gets around Khells warnings about posting anything from role pm quite neatly. The only bit that I don't get is the Code reference from Khell; not having played Diablo 3 I may be missing out on this though.

God sighed, and once more His infallible mind wandered back to good old Old Testament days, when His wrath was furious and His vengeance was quick, back before the political correctness brigade said He shouldn't do things like that, but had to be all lovey dovey and peace and mercy and compassion and all that rubbish.
And look where it had got them. Now not even the fact that the Earth appeared to be in perpetual day seemed to stir these feckless mortals into action. And His angels had grown fat and lazy too, all of them counting on His Divine Forgiveness to get them out of any mess they made.
Hmm, now, if he were to exact His Fury on all those PC-types, blasting them all from the face of the earth, then there wouldn't be anyone left to complain about His lack of forbearance. Maybe next time they decided to remain indolent, maybe next time...
And thanks Gnaw!
30 hours and 56 minutes remaining in day 2.
AKA Khell would like us to lynch, please.

This depends on your propensity to risk. By virtue of the fact that everyone is looking for signalling it of itself it's a risky proposition. Furthermore, assuming you are scum, and you know who another scum is, there's only a 1/8 chance of a lynch hurting you. Unless you're telling me these scum are SOOO clever that they could signal each other without anyone noticing it makes no sense to make the attempt. Let the dice roll a few times. Then you can start co ordinating kills when there's less town around.
You're either an idiot, or you're trying to shift attention
I think most of my unease with Telas comes from the way Liosan acted through day one.
As far as I am aware there are 3 players so far that would think it stupid to signal or are just saying that because they did and do not want us to pick up on it.
I say it's stupid to signal, so does Demelain but Telas makes a speech out of it. Does the part I highlighted seem like gloating to anyone else?
The whole post seems to me to be Telas saying "Oh shit I signalled and got caught, better promote the no-signalling approach so that people don't think I actually signalled" Other than that I agree with his logic. I've missed Liosans acting on day 1, I'll catch up on that in a bit

So, if we are going to look at potential candidates for a lynch, I think we need to take a look at Demelain. With only two posts, one non-edit post, he has effectively control the thread moving the majority of the focus to Telas. Second, in a couple of games the "real life problem sorry can't post" excuse was used and worked well for scum so now we won't think badly about him for not posting too often. That was he can promote a low posters hunt while being one.
As far as signaling, scum may or may not be doing it. Either way, scum tend to like to pat each other on the back and second ideas that will get the thread moving in the right direction. It's like they can't help it.
As an aside, I'd also like to site the overuse of the word moronic in the last day.. I do not think I've ever read that word so much. If I was a suspicous person, I'd think it some kind of weird signaling.

Fear not, Demelain is here.Been having some internet issues (currently a range of sites includi ng google are not resolving) so forgive my lack of banter please, forum access may not last.Cue mildly serious start from me.There's 10 of us, 5 have roles (2 town, 3 scum.) That gives a 50% chance of hitting a role should we lynch at random. Statistically entirely random lynches should hit scum with a chance of 30% after 1 lynch and 63% after 2 random lynches (although google is as I say out so someone check my math, it is a long time since I did statistics of any form.)We can go for the entirely random lynch approach. I don't like it though, strikes me as a little too mechanical for this game (or any game)What else can we do?We can try jumping on suspected symping but that is chasing shadows with a torch, for reasons I shouldn't need to explain. It is a long time since we had a low poster hunt, I could get behind the lynching of someone with a low post count and low content - as town we should be thrashing out details of mechanics not waiting on scum to slip up. Although I am the last to check in so realise I'm first on the block here :pHaving said that, now I take a quick glance at those alts with 1 post only (in the order that the forum lists them when you click the number of posts for the thread from the Mafia forum page for those who think there is more logic to it than that)
*snip*
I'm going to vote Telas because of that there post but I'd also be happy with Eloth for the essential nothingness of their post.Vote Telas
I'm not going to discount Telas, as scum..or Hanas. It's early in the day so I'm going to feel out the thread on this idea. Maybe it's completely cracked but I think it has some merit..
Vote Demelain
Everyone is a candidate for lynch, would you mind doing the same for everyone else?

As for "RL problems" then yes, internet dropping out at random and a range of sites not resolving was a problem but does seem to be mostly fixed now (apart from one blip an hour ago) As I didn't want to have posts lost each time I reply I decided to concentrate into a single post each time so much easier to copy text as a backup. It clearly worked well because I'm controlling thread with only 2 proper posts. Go me. Although I will admit to tunnel vision on Telas for the moment, I'll try and move past that.
Your accusation of moronic being signalling is mo... oh wait, yes. So on the chance this is actually a genuine thing that has slipped by can anyone who hasn't used the word/had it used at them please take a look at it?
Also note I said low post *and* low content - as I knew damned well I'm be low posting for a time so put as much content in as I could
