No would you all agree that to win this, you need to play a good waiver game? Ie make good transfers throughout the season?

I need to work out, how people use this effectively. I always seemed to be low on the waiver wire last year, and HD used a ton of transfers.

No team is drafted perfectly. People get injured. Weaknesses pop up due to usage of certain players. The surefire way to win FF is to have a great draft and remain healthy. That doesn't happen, thus the waiver wire is where you go to fill holes. RBs aren't performing? Pick up a dude who might be a starter for just one week and then cut him. Somebody gets injured? Stash or cut him and pick somebody up.

I maintain, drafts don't win leagues: Drafts get people to the playoffs. Waiver wire wins leagues.

Edit: Then again, I win the regular season and always lose in the playoffs, so what do I know?

Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Just over 5 hours till he times out, I suggest a kicker is a good 3rd round pick, per Taco.

Per taco your entire team should be kickers.

With the third pick, he had to know his slot was coming back up soon so I'm not sure how well this bodes for the season. Either way, I think Shin needs to send one of us a list of choices. A list of five players would have ensured that Shin got someone on that list and speeds things up for the rest of us. It's got to be a better choice than drafting via yahoo best available.

Super cruel would be to do what the actual draft does: Just let everyone bypass him until he gets a pick in. But, like I said, that'd be Super Cruel.

Times up. By my count he should be getting Doug Martin. Anyone else agree/disagree with that?

If you use Yahoo! Player List from the League menu, set it to Season (projected), then Alshon Jeffery is highest undrafted at #21.

I am unsure as to what list is leading, though.

EDIT: this is the same ranking he occupies under Draft Central/Pre-Draft player rankings.

It becomes tempting if we time out one more time. In three rounds, 48 hours lost. At this rate, we might not complete the draft again and that would suck donkey balls.

Last year we did 18 hours. If we're going to deal with time outs, we should drop down back to 18 hours. I mean you still get the next top rated player, its not a huge loss. Last year we ran out of time using 18 hours and we were moving faster than this. We will need to do something or we will be auto drafting rounds 11 thru 14.

I've only paid attention for the last 3 years, but this year the different lists ranking players are far more varied than the previous two years. I've seen Doug Martin and Alfred morris all over the place on different lists. Doug Martin is swinging huge shifts from list to list. I've seen him ranked in the first round and low as round 4. Some think he'll be back to his beast year form, while others think he'll be on a committee of 3+ and do jack shit.

Last year we set the rules as whoever was the highest rated on the Yahoo list. It's the site were using and there's no discussing who they should get. It's just the next player on that list.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

So, whenever his times up, just give him whoever is next on the Yahoo league list.

http://football.fant.../259933/players is thus leading?
For the sake of moving forward, on that list Jeffery is highest unpicked at #21, HD on the clock.

If Yahoo has a different list elsewhere which has Doug Martin highest unpicked, it would be good to know.

Based on yahoo, looks like Jeffery. I'm going to update the draft thread accordingly so everyone knows we are moving on.
