I have left my pick with Brujah, but it could come down to a decision between 3 players, if people do anything unexpected.

Ugh... such a hard decision if I should have gone double RB or not, but with Dez still sitting there I couldn't pass him up.

Linehan knows how to get deep balls out, and Dez is their deep ball threat, so I'm expecting 150 yards and a score each game from him.

I nearly threw the dice there. Didn't.

So people have left Green because the coach Hue Jackson is usually a run orientated coach

And Dalton doesn't have the huge arm to really pay him off as he deserves. Still, top 5 WR. Dude is targeted in End Zone constantly.

Waiting on Brujah now.

It is too early, but so was the Aaron Rodgers pick, I think.

Nah. Peyton, Brees, and Rodgers are all end of first/beginning of second.

In a 6 point touchdown passing league, QBs are even more valuable.

Otherwise, I'd agree and have gone RB there.

Yea those 3 are a step above 'the rest'. Unless Shin is expecting Luck to be on that level this year (and I don't expect it, but w/e), its far too early for that pick.

2008

COLTS GO 12-4 & CLINCH A WILD CARD SPOT, MANNING WINS THIRD NFL MVP, COLTS LOSE TO THE CHARGERS IN THE WILDCARD ROUND:

2008 (9/7) The Colts opened Lucas Oil Stadium with a 29-13 loss to Chicago, the club’s first losing opener since 2004. The victory snapped a 21-game September/October winning streak for the Colts, as the club opened with 13-0, 9-0 and 7-0 records from 2005-07. (9/14) K-Adam Vinatieri booted a 47-yard field goal with :03 remaining to cap an 18-point second-half rally as the Colts topped Minnesota, 18-15. K-Ryan Longwell booted field goals of 45, 27, 53, 46 and 28 yards, but his miss from 48 yards midway through the final period helped set the comeback. (9/21) K-Josh Scobee converted field goals of 26, 21 and 51 yards, the final one coming with :04 remaining as Jacksonville topped the Colts, 23-21. The Jaguars controlled the ball for 41:35 of the contest, including for 26 minutes of the second half in producing the win. Indianapolis had leads of 7-0, 14-10 and 21-20, with the final lead coming with 1:07 remaining on RB-Joseph Addai’s (16-78, 2 TDs rushing) 2t burst. QB-Peyton Manning was 15-29-216, 1 TD/2 ints. (10/5) Scoring 21 points in a 2:10 span of the final quarter, Indianapolis produced a stirring 31-27 victory at Houston. QB-Peyton Manning (25-34-247, 2 TDs/1 int.) sandwiched 7t and 5t scoring passes to TE-Tom Santi and WR-Reggie Wayne (7-97) around LB-Gary Brackett’s 68t fumble return as the Colts earned the win. The first scoring pass came with 4:04 remaining, and the final one came with 1:54 to go as Indianapolis became the first NFL team to erase a 17-point deficit in a game’s final five minutes to win in regulation. (10/12) Bolting to a 24-0 halftime lead, the Colts posted a 31-3 victory over Baltimore. QB-Peyton Manning (19-28-271, 3 TDs) teamed with WRs-Marvin Harrison (3-83, 2 TDs; 67t; 5t) and Reggie Wayne (8-118, 1 TD; 22t) on first-half scoring tosses, while the club produced three of its five takeaways over the first 30 minutes. Harrison posted his 29th career multiple-TD reception game, while Wayne (51) moved into 3rd-place in Colts career scoring receptions. Manning (110, Harrison; 50, Wayne) became the 2nd NFL QB to have 50+ career touchdown connections with two different receivers (79, Dan Marino-Mark Clayton; 55, Marino-Mark Duper). (11/2) K-Adam Vinatieri booted a 52-yard field goal midway through the final quarter to help Indianapolis earn an 18-15 victory over New England. Tony Dungy coached in his 200th career regular-season game and posted his 131st victory, the third-highest 200-game regular-season total by any head coach in NFL history (147, Don Shula; 135, George Halas). (11/9) Rallying from a 10-point deficit in a city in which the team had not won since 1968, the Colts posted a 24-20 victory at Pittsburgh. Indianapolis rebounded from a 17-7 second-quarter deficit to tie the contest in the third period, then QB-Peyton Manning (21-40-240, 3 TDs) hit RB-Dominic Rhodes on a 17t pass with 3:04 remaining to produce the winning score. WR-Marvin Harrison caught a pass in his 184th consecutive game, the longest NFL streak to start a career, and the second-longest streak in league history (274, Jerry Rice). It was Manning’s 50th career game with 3+ TD passes, joining Brett Favre and Dan Marino as the only NFL QBs to accomplish that feat. (11/16) Scoring on its final five full possessions, Indianapolis posted a 33-27 victory over Houston. QB-Peyton Manning (30-46-320, 2 TDs) directed an attack that produced 474 yards, while RB-Joseph Addai (22-105, 1 TD rushing; 7t/4-48, 1 TD receiving; 23t) and WR-Marvin Harrison (9-77, 1 TD; 10t) had touchdown receptions. The club’s five final scoring drives covered 66, 81, 80, 73 and 69 yards. K-Adam Vinatieri booted field goals of 40, 39, 32 and 31 yards.(11/23) K-Adam Vinatieri booted field goals of 23, 38 and 51 yards, the final one coming at the gun as Indianapolis won at San Diego, 23-20. The Colts survived a late 10-point Chargers rally that tied the contest with 1:30 remaining. (11/30) Finishing a 5-0 November with a fifth single-digit victory, Indianapolis topped Cleveland, 10-6. Indianapolis won its first game since 2003 without scoring an offensive touchdown. DE-Dwight Freeney produced a sack-fumble that DE-Robert Mathis returned 37 yards for a score with 9:45 remaining as the Colts prevailed. The victory followed triumphs by three, four, six and three points earlier in the month, and it made the Colts only the third NFL team to win five consecutive games by six or fewer points (1986, Giants; 1992, Colts). (12/7) The Colts excelled on both sides of the ball and scored in every quarter in topping Cincinnati, 35-3. Indianapolis produced five sacks and four takeaways, including two interceptions by DB-Kelvin Hayden, the final one returned 85 yards for a score. QB-Peyton Manning became the only NFL player to open a career with 11 3,000+-yard and 20+-TD seasons. His streaks of 11 consecutive 3,000+ seasons and 11 consecutive 20+-TD seasons rank 2nd in NFL history. (12/14) Scoring the final 10 points in the last 8:39 of the contest, Indianapolis defeated Detroit, 31-21. TE-Dallas Clark (12-142, 1 TD; 3t) became the first Colts TE with 10+ receptions in a game. Indianapolis became the only NFL team to win at least seven consecutive games in five consecutive seasons (8, 2004; 13, 2005; 9, 2006; 7 and 6, 2007; 9, 2008), while becoming the third NFL team to post 10+ wins in seven consecutive seasons (16, San Francisco, 1983-98; 7, Dallas, 1975-81). WR-Marvin Harrison (1,095) moved into third-place in NFL career receptions, moving past WR-Tim Brown (1,094). Manning became the only NFL QB to have 10+ starting wins in seven consecutive seasons. (12/18) Erasing a 14-point deficit and two 10-point deficits with 17 fourth-quarter points, Indianapolis posted a 31-24 victory at Jacksonville. The Colts earned their seventh consecutive playoff appearance under Head Coach Tony Dungy, and their ninth in 10 seasons with the victory. DB-Keiwan Ratliff’s 35t interception return with 4:48 left gave Indianapolis its only lead. QB-Peyton Manning’s outstanding performance (29-34-364, 3 TDs) helped pace the Colts. Manning set a club record by completing 23 consecutive passes, dating back to six completions to the Detroit game. Manning snapped the club mark of 17 he achieved in 2005 and shared with QB-Bert Jones (1974), and 23 consecutive completions fell one shy of QB-Donovan McNabb’s NFL record (Philadelphia, 2004). Dungy became the only post-Merger coach to lead 10 consecutive teams to the playoffs. Indianapolis (6, 2003-08) tied the NFL mark for most consecutive 11+-victory seasons (6, Dallas, 1976-81; 5, Dallas, 1991-95; 5, San Francisco, 1994-98; 5, Philadelphia, 2000-04. This marked the club’s fourth road win after trailing by 10+ points, tying the NFL seasonal mark of Dallas (1983), and it was the third road win after trailing by 14+ points, setting a new NFL seasonal record. (12/28) Indianapolis topped Tennessee, 23-0, to end the season with a nine-game winning streak, while extending its NFL record to six consecutive seasons with 12+ victories. The club produced its first shutout since 1997. QB-Peyton Manning was 7-7-95, 1 TD (55t) to extend his NFL record with a ninth 4,000+ season (4,002). WR-Marvin Harrison (1,102) was 7-31 receiving to move past WR-Cris Carter (1,101) into 2nd-place in NFL career receptions. TE-Dallas Clark (848) was 6-59 receiving to set the club’s seasonal yardage record for TEs (829, Mackey, 1966). K-Adam Vinatieri (103) extended his streak to 13 consecutive seasons with 100+ points. Indianapolis surrendered six touchdowns passing for the season, the fewest by an NFL team in a 16-game season, and the lowest total in the league since 1973 (Miami). (1/3) San Diego tied the contest on a 26-yard field goal in the final minute of regulation, then scored on an overtime-opening possession to top Indianapolis, 23-17, in the Wild Card Playoffs. RB-Darren Sproles produced 328 total yards (23-105, 2 TDs rushing; 9t, 22t/5-45 receiving/4-106 KOR/3-72 PR), and his second rushing TD settled the outcome. QB-Peyton Manning was 25-42-310, 1 TD, combining with TE-Dallas Clark (7-33) and WRs-Anthony Gonzalez (6-97) and Reggie Wayne (4-129, 1 TD; 72t) to help keep the Colts in the hunt. Chargers P-Mike Scifres was 6-52.7, 6 In20. Two first-half boots pinned the Colts deep and resulted in short TD drives. His final kick to the Colts’ one in the last three minutes set the stage for the tying score. Manning joined QBs-Brett Favre, Dan Marino, John Elway and Joe Montana as the only players with 40,000+ regular-season and 4,000+ playoff passing yards.

To understand a bit more about tactics and playtypes, I spent a ton of time on the internet; I couldn't understand for example why anyone would want to run for a 3 yard gain when the average pass goes a lot further.

Chris Brown's Smart Football (columns over the past seasons can also be found on Grantland.com) was awesome there Stephen White (retired defensive end of Tampa Bay) provides a weekly analysis of plays (column is called The Notebook iirc) at sbnation during the season and those are also helping my understanding a lot.
