I am currently on a week shield & saving. Gonna get a 2nd X Bow with my gold but am unsure what to do with my elixir. Should be at 3m soon so my first thought was to upgrade 1 of my DE drills. Then I thought maybe I should save a bit longer to upgrade archers to level 6 (4.5m) or maybe upgrade the dark barracks or a camp?

Thoughts?

Why don't you just gain cash raiding? And as for what to do I have no idea. I am just now upgrading my TH to lvl 7 so I have zero experience with everything you mentioned except for the camp. So go for the camp. More troops to field on the raids.

Don't have that much time atm and raiding uses troops so I never get that far with elixir.

I don't really use giants that much I think they are level 4 atm.

Well I had to give up on archers because they are 6m so I'd have to upgrade storages. So I'm upgrading a camp instead.

I believe all I have left are:
2 electric towers.
4 storage (2 purp 2 gold)
Numerous bombs
Walls

... and is that it for building upgrades?

Troop bases. Yours are currently lv 5 they can go to lv 6 giving you a total of 200

Barracks.
Upgrade them.

Same for Dark Barracks.
You are really close to getting your Barb king. Get it and then try to upgrade him to lv 5.

In order of upgrading things

Upgrade your army camp first
Then storages.
Then up grade your barracks then your Dark Barraks
If you can build up gold upgrade your Teslas while upgrading your barracks.
Leave your walls to the very last after everything else is maxed out. Because you can use both gold and Elixir to upgrade them. So once you run out of things to upgrade with gold then get started on gold upgrading your walls. When you finally run out of things to upgrade for Elixir then put that toward walls.

Then get started on saving to upgrade your TH with your gold. WHile you are using elixir to upgrade your walls. Get your walls to lv 7 as a TH7. Trust me (as someone who rushed to lv 8 with out upgrading his walls all the way) it would have been quite a bit easier to have done that earlier.

Giants aren't unstoppable, especially at higher levels. The right base at th9 or th10 will shut them down no problem.

Healers are worthless past about th6.

Storage upgrades should be a priority, otherwise you find yourself in situations where your storages are full but you still don't have enough for the next upgrade. Then you have to wait while the storage upgrades, losing out on loot the whole time.

Yeah I say once everything is done to the max except for 2 Teslas then upgrade TH. Teslas to max level at TH8 is 10 days, if you are going to do Pekka and Hogs etc then they take 12 days. My Pekka is level 2 but I hardly use it at the moment and chose to do hogs level 4 first. They are 40 000 dark elixir which is so hard to get. I hope it won't now that I will be getting level 6 giants. Did I show you our clan's war record?

So we were in a global clan, parts in USA and Australia. The guys were mostly above my level, fully developed TH10's so they donated good troops but we hardly won a war, and the new recruits had to be above a certain level. Like minimum level 70 experience, minimum th8 or archer levels 5 or above. The wars were shit, they pissed us off, people not fighting, people farming, etc.

So my brother, brother in law and I started a new clan. We called it The Splitters. I invited my wife's two brothers and they invited their friend, my brother invited his girlfriend and we just left the clan open for a while, then more of friends of friends started joining us, we kicked a few inactive's and bam we have a solid 20 man clan. We have won our last 12 or so wars in a row and are having a laugh doing so. One guy from previous clan joined us and brought two of his lower alts and he gets 16/18 stars each war.

Nice loot!!

I am still suffering due to my past rush to get a higher level TH. Seriously, everything is taking ages to get anywhere and I am being attacked by some pretty tough guys. My defences seem to be doing their job however, which is good. And I am slowly getting there with the walls to purple (lame I know!) After finishing those walls I will concentrate on defence weapons. It's a long term plan but it should hopefully yield some fruit. I think I will have a bit more time to attack as well but for some reason I can never find good bases. How many do you circle through before finding one? I give up after about 5/10 or so.
