I search until I hit a base with either my minimum for a full attack, that's 150k gold and 150k elixir. Or TH outside, I snipe that and whatever is in some collectors. Or full collectors (doesn't matter how much as long as I make profit) so I might hit a base with 10 goblins, 10 barbs and 10 archers and come away with 50k of each, yes its a loss but who cares. Gold 3 is best unless you want dark elixir, then you have to go up to Gold 1 or Crystal 3. I have never attacked as a TH9 but I will be soon.

My last 3 attacks. I am only attacking with this to really get max elixir and gold for as little as possible. That way they both go towards max. If I want dark, I will do this until my elixir is quite good, then train heavy stuff, giants, wizards and goblins.

Regarding teh times to cycle before attackuing, i have seen myself do upto 30 a few times. This is mostly when i am elixar farming rather than gold. But saying that i have a rule that if im able to raid someone using a few of my archers and gobs (say less than 10k worth) then i will raid someone with 20k elixar.

im in the process of doing my final defence upgrades for TH 7 then ill be doing my TH upgrade.

I can easily cycle through 20 before I find someone I want to attack. Sometimes more.

My next great achievement will be getting the Barbarian King. I have about 6K in dark elixir and if it wasn't for Vengy telling me about the lighting spell sniping technique I'd only have about half that. And even then it's taking forever to get to the 10K dark elixir to get him. At TH7 you can't generate any of your own which sucks. I am holding off getting my dark barracks until after I get the king. I figure why be tempted to spend the dark stuff before I get a solid tank to help with raids in the future.

I can easily cycle through 20 before I find someone I want to attack. Sometimes more.

Generating your own is not a big thing, they have designed the game around attacking to get it.

We have come across clans that have had double, triple, quadruple our war wins. We came across one with 58 wins. It doesn't matter when the little guys are getting 3 stars right off the bat, a tactic for some clans is to wait and see how many stars are to get. 14 hours to go and were on 45 stars, they didn't mount an attack.

We are 20 vs 20. We were at the 15+ range when I first joined and since I was low man on the totem pole at the time I missed out on the first few wars. Now I'm somewhere in the middle.




And as for attacking to get it I'm finding that you have to take an elixir hit for the Dark Elixir and I'm having a hard time keeping a decent balance between them. Maybe once I have upgraded all my research items then I can go to town on the dark elixir focus.

We range from 25-35 depending on how many get kicked for non-participation after wars.

I'm having the same problem - and everytime I get over 4.5K DE, I get hit by someone who wants my DE. Bastards.

I'm finding when I get hit for sufficient losses it's always someone higher lvl than me. I've lucked out that I have been using the revenge feature and they have had their THs outside their bases and their resources clustered. 3 lvl 4 lighting spells later I not only get some of my trophies back but I get a profit on the dark elixir. Of course I take a huge hit on the elixir but I usually get enough Gold/& elixir to make it not quite as painful. I'm thinking having the Barb king will help reduce the amount of losses I suffer in raids against me much like the clan castle troops have done for me.

It kinda keeps up with barb king. I've experience similar things even after getting him housed two walls deep in my defence. Once the DE starts flowing the lvl 75+ leviathans start to take notice.

I've defended some fairly bizarre attack on my DE including a 240 barb stampede of lvl 5 barbs.

Considering my purple wall defence that kinda killed my pride.

At the end of a trophy push I have hit next literally for an hour before finding a suitable target. I hate trophy pushing.

What's the benefit of trophy pushing anyway? The bonuses for successful attacks are very minimal well from what I can see (Gold III is the highest level I've ever been). And other than to get the free gems for acheivements I feel they are more about bragging rights than anything else.

I circle through 10 - 30 or until I find one that has at least 100k of each. The first thing that I look for is the amount of loot available then the defenses. Then I will decide if I should attack or keep moving.

Someone just gave me a shield. I only gave up 100k elixir no gold, so I am all set for a good start at TH9

I am just getting started on my lv 7 walls. I finished up maxing out all of my defenses and still have a bunch of elixar upgrades (barracks, dragons,peka's) and DE upgrades to go. So I will be a lv 8 for a while yet.

Yeah I say once everything is done to the max except for 2 Teslas then upgrade TH. Teslas to max level at TH8 is 10 days, if you are going to do Pekka and Hogs etc then they take 12 days. My Pekka is level 2 but I hardly use it at the moment and chose to do hogs level 4 first. They are 40 000 dark elixir which is so hard to get. I hope it won't now that I will be getting level 6 giants. Did I show you our clan's war record?

Right now I am concentrating on getting my BK to lv 10 then it will be to get him as high as possible as a TH 8 before I get started on upgrading my DE troops. I still have a couple of spells and dragons and Peka's to upgrade as well. It is going to be a while. Which I am fine with. I will probably get started on upgrading my TH once half of my walls are up to lv 8.

Getting to the Crystal league gets you a lot of gems the first time you get there. The win bonuses aren't enough to make it worth staying there really. Plus the difference between Crystal III & II is pretty massive. I got about 4 trophies away from Crystal II once but it was too hard to stay up there so I dropped right back down again.

Mine is at lv 8 right now too. I think that I may be able to get him to 15 as a TH 8. I want the Archer Queen but not enough to rush up to lv 9 with out having adequate walls and everything as maxed as I can
