Someone just gave me a shield. I only gave up 100k elixir no gold, so I am all set for a good start at TH9

I am just getting started on my lv 7 walls. I finished up maxing out all of my defenses and still have a bunch of elixar upgrades (barracks, dragons,peka's) and DE upgrades to go. So I will be a lv 8 for a while yet.

Yeah I say once everything is done to the max except for 2 Teslas then upgrade TH. Teslas to max level at TH8 is 10 days, if you are going to do Pekka and Hogs etc then they take 12 days. My Pekka is level 2 but I hardly use it at the moment and chose to do hogs level 4 first. They are 40 000 dark elixir which is so hard to get. I hope it won't now that I will be getting level 6 giants. Did I show you our clan's war record?

Right now I am concentrating on getting my BK to lv 10 then it will be to get him as high as possible as a TH 8 before I get started on upgrading my DE troops. I still have a couple of spells and dragons and Peka's to upgrade as well. It is going to be a while. Which I am fine with. I will probably get started on upgrading my TH once half of my walls are up to lv 8.

My king is level 8 at the moment but I want an Archer Queen next before upgrading him again.

Mine is at lv 8 right now too. I think that I may be able to get him to 15 as a TH 8. I want the Archer Queen but not enough to rush up to lv 9 with out having adequate walls and everything as maxed as I can

How many builders do you have? I have 4.

I'm so close to builder # 4!!!! I have like 941 crystals, those last 59 seem to be taking FOREVER!

I'm TH 7 and I have 4 builders with 200+ gems. 1/10th of the way to builder #5. Though not as excited about that as I was with #4 but with so much to upgrade all the time It would be nice to have one on standby every once in a while.

War on the cards would like to know your opinions on bombs. Inside the base or out?

In between two defenses. Big bombs doubled up to wipe out hogs. Little bombs within range of a mortar, so they do their job and then mortar finishes them. If not, then to stop wall breakers. WB's normally go to the nearest corner/wall and run in between gaps in buildings. So either little bombs on a corner, or little bombs one tile out away from wall, in between two buildings. You'd be guessing where they'll be going. Alternatively you can use a funneling technique, open up a gap between a wall so most troops go through that gap, then place your bomb inside that gap. Don't do this so that they can get into your base, do it either inside or create an outside windmill with gaps in between. I'll show you my war base, it's in progress because I have recently levelled up, but you will see various of these techniques used.

It's not been tested yet. I am waiting to be attacked in war, we are in a tough one at the moment and they have to attack me for stars to win. They will, and it will be the bigger boys doing the damage. I'll keep you posted. I still have a wizard tower and archer tower to build which will help my outside spread of defenses.

It looks good. Now when they attack you in war, see where they do it from, how they do it, what level they are. Then adjust to improve for next war.

I'm finding mixed results when intentionally creating a spawn spot in the centre of my base. I never get Starred or lose more than 10% but i lose TONS of DE. Maybe bait the trap a little?

Yeah when I see those spawn points within a village I avoid them like the plague. After getting wiped out on more than on occasion they are just too dangerous.

I've got just over 600 dark elixir to go to upgrade my Barbarian king to level 2. Does the upgrade require a builder? I ask because I have one available and can spend the dough on an air defense or archer tower but don't want to have to cancel an upgrade or wait 2 days until the next one is available to get my king up another level.
