I hate both Citeh and the Scousers but the Scousers are more smug with it, though it's a close thing...

Norwich have sacked Hughton! Flipping heck this is the way the sport is going isn't it. Just replace the manager after a few months...

That is an outrage!!!

When will teams learn that sacking your manager every two weeks is a fools game!!

Granted it has worked for Palace but then Pulis should never have been sacked by Stoke...

Sunderland, West Brom, Cardiff and Fulham are all just as bad as they were originally. Or worse.

Thanks for posting this because for some unfathomable reason I am avoiding sports news for the next few days.

Fulham are much much better than they were under Jol and while sacking Meulensteen was very harsh, Magath is doing the job and they could well stay up. Sunderland had to sack Di Canio, he was an untenable proposition.

That's not to say Norwich are right to sack Hughton now, though. They've just lobbed their caretaker under the bus, with their run-in there's no way he's getting more than three, maybe four points from the remaining games, and it wouldn't be at all below expectations to come out with one or none.
I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you.

Yeah Di Canio was a bit of a mentalist(funny though) but I don't think the Black Cats are doing any better under Poyet, just look at last nights result. I would be floored with shock if they stay up!

Jol was a bit unlucky, The Cottagers were playing okay but just couldn't seem to score a goal. However I am not an avid Fulham fan so will bow to the consensus with that one!

I just looked at Norwich's remaining fixtures http://www.bbc.co.uk...h-city/fixtures I reckon whoever wins the Fulham v Norwich game will stay up.

Having lived in Cardiff for 9 years I am quite sad the way Vincent Tan has messed that club around. I don't think their current position is Malky Mckay or Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's fault. You can't just throw a club into chaos like that mid season. To do it with 5 games to go is madness.

Most likely. Which is why sacking Hughton just before this crucial fixture looks pretty damn stupid. Do the board seriously think the team are going to be anymore inspired by a guy that the players have previously viewed as managing the Norwich kids' team?

The Cardiff situation is madness! Utter Madness!!! Mckay was not doing a particularly bad job so to replace him with someone who has no Premiership experience (managing) is bonkers.

There has to be more to the sacking of Hughton than we know. If Sir Alex was coming in, then fair enough but as you say the bloke from the kids team is hardly going to do a better job than Chris!!

I was hoping for a video of him going ape sh*t, not just an informative piece of writing.

Oh well can't have everything.

Now Chelsea are through to the Semi Finals they play them the week before and after the Liverpool game. So that should benefit us. It makes this weekends game so much more important.

I'm getting a bit fed up of Mourinho writing off his sides title chances.

I cheered for Liverpool, then felt dirty and bad, then cheered for them again, then hard a long hard look at myself in the mirror in disgust, then felt happy at the final whistle, then loathed myself.

I have never and will never cheer for Liverpool.

Actually, maybe I did if it meant they beat one of Utd's rivals in the top of the league, but the delicious feeling that there was knowing that Liverpool had actually helped us overshadowed any feeling of self loathing I may have had for actually wanting them to win...

Not a bad weekend of football. Not the results or anything but the actual matches where top notch!!

Liverpool City was epic!!! Though of course I had Yaya has my captain in my fantasy football :/

Looking forward to the Chelsea Liverpool game and I predict a Chelsea win.

Still want Liverpool to win the league but only because of Stevie, though it is funny when teams spend 200 million billion on players and fail :sofa:

Wow, that Chelsea-Sunderland result was unexpected. Jose's post match interview not quite the same surprise.

A Liverpool win tomorrow effectively wraps it up I think. Now Norwich managing to score a goal will be astonishing, but the way this league campaign has been going, anything is possible.

The whole "Moyes might be sacked, oh wait maybe not, but probably" thing is doing my nut in...

We're turning into Chelsea and I don't like it. I have always been in the "give the man a chance" category and it annoys me that the same fans who were deriding Chelsea for the way they kept swapping managers, or Liverpool for something similar, ate now behaving in the same way!

I know that fans of other teams love what's happening at Utd but any sensible thoughts to add to the discussion?
