Tiamatha is dead. He was René Artouille, an EU spy (RI) and Khellendros

Yeah, I hate to say I told you so, but....

but what?

but "he told you so," i'm sure. denul, wtf? there was a lot of heat on tiam, his reveal about fucking around on day 1 made him look suspicious, he didn't respond to my questions and didn't point out scum - he was a clear target. what made you so sure he was town, again?

Basically, I felt it would have been a silly move for a 2nd scum to basically do the exact same thing as GL did during Day 1 - i.e. try to inflate the post count quickly. I mean, one scum doing that wasn't terribly surprising, but I just felt it would have been too dangerous a move for a 2nd scum to do it as well. I don't know why he was a 'clear' target, though I understand why he was 'a' target. I put my vote down on him because keeping him around would only hurt town what with everyone being so certain that he MUST be scum - when so many people are aimed at one person, keeping them around tends to cause those people to put on blinders to a lot of the rest of the thread, and wonder why there was so much push back on his vote, etc.

Why do you assume that Tiam and GL are the same? last I checked symps dont get a scum CF. what we do get is that both were in EU.

maybe you can talk on that?

What do you mean assume they are the same? Both spent the first day basically spamming up the thread to try to level us up, even after it was decided that leveling up right away was a bad idea.

Awesome both of you voted. Had a sudden winge thinking scum may somehow have the abilty to intercept votes. Both of you voting eases my worries.

i've pretty much put bek as town since early on but this is an odd comment that links eloth/bek. does bek know more than he let on or is eloth picking up on this and feigning it? or coincidence...hmm...

My Level 5 role allowed me that related info. I suspected scum had the ability aswell when I went back and read up on what I could do.

I'm simply able to block a vote. I looked back on Eloth and thought blocking a vote would force him to talk more. Also the only point of my ability is to avoid derailment and Eloth seemed likeliest of the bunch judging interactions on Day 2.
Thought of using it on Denul but I think Denuls vote history is not very clear so I'm happy to observe whatever he does decide to vote on even if its me.

I had to use it and figured this was the best way to do so. I have reason to believe I'm not the only one able to do so but the above all but labels me Amp, I might aswell own up to it.

I dunno - I don't see what the point of town having a vote blocking ability would be. I continue to be suspicious of you Bek.

Specially given that we were told that we were all RI's - lynches are our only way to kill off the killers, why would we have a power to block votes, thus preventing a lynch?

By accident, I deleted a post about Galayn Lord's player name. Bad hand-eye coordination and a phone.

Anyway, like that post suggested, it was an oversight on my behalf. GL was lf course Tatts.

So I haven't been able to read up that much today. How much time is left in the day? I am only at my desk for another 45 minutes. Unfortunately I don't really have enough of a feel for anyone to drop a vote right now. The one thing I am wondering is not so much town having a vote blocking ability but why Bek felt the need to use it today. That seems to me like a pretty powerful ability to have at the end of the game.

You said it would be a silly move for second scum to do the same thing. I'm asking why assume that one was motivated the same as the other? If we we're in a TMDi 7 setup how do you assume these two would act as a unit? if the Godfather concept extends itself why assume they even knew each other? They may have just been supporting anyone doing what they wanted not really knowing who was on sides with who.

I question the fact you say you hate to tell me so but... "Told you Tiam wasn't scum"

We do not know that. If anything Tiams CF links him to the faction of the only know scum. A CF like that doesn't look like definate townie. His play didn't either.

Why are you so quick to assume him fully innocent?

I operated assuming I can use it once each day.

I used it early today to see how Eloth posted. I do not plan to use it to preserve myself but to get town information hence early use. as its outed its effect isn't quite as potent.

Town roles have no abilities at level 0-4, and get a (one-time) ability at level 5.
What scum has, is unknown. Of course.

Why would you think that he could use it again? I assume that if someone can use something more then once then they are scum.

Yeah, sorry, I don't believe your little 'reveal' to be completely honest, and, really, the vote blocking ability is not an ability I see town having for any reason - it's basically useless for a townie to be able to block a vote unless he's certain of a scum and it's D-Day, but even then... It just doesn't strike me as an ability town would have.

Furthermore, you're either willfully ignoring ability text, or PS posts...

I think you're lying - you slipped and now you're trying to make yourself seem unimportant.

vote Bek

also it sat much better with me when he revealed that he used his ability because you would think only town would reveal abilities, but maybe i just caught bek's comment from the previous night combined with eloth revealing he can't vote and so the most inno option for scum at that point would be to explain/reveal to build trust...

i'm not ready to vote bek yet, he has been a big asset to town so far, but this could make or break him, i agree (i can't believe i'm agreeing with denul! the game has changed forever)

edit - added "with"

There's roughly 17 hours and 20 minutes left in the day and I am off to bed.

Weekend freeze starts at the end of the night 3 resolution, or at the end of the regular game day, whichever comes first.

Nope. The brackets I thought would be case specific not general and my PM was worded one time day action. I seriously just assumed I could use once a day. That one time only thing I had not considered and really I had never really thought my power so precious to be conserved. I thought of it as an information gathering tool.

I must be the dumbest scum on earth to be worried a power other than my own would lead to a vote block on a lynch I pushed for prior to my own powers actually being unlocked Day 3.

If I'm scum I'd save it or spam it something proven only with time I guess. I havent slipped up but if you think the above means I'm scum because I used my powers early and thought I could use them again I'm not bothered.

I'm always lynched for my misreads and honestly I don't mind because I'm used to it, when you slip up you pay and if I am the biggest suspect I'm happy to be voted out.

I'll just observe from SH and hope you guys realize who set you against me and hopefully work out why.

My faction info will help clarify things a bit so I say follow Denul if you think that info is more valuable than my vote.

I'm confused Bek. Your reasoning for blocking me seems rather thin. For that matter I really can't see why anyone would vote block me.

Heh. As in "all Begians have a beer"?

Given that we're only just at l5 there's really no way to substantiate that, the dead alts will not have carried out any actions so we have nothing to compare.

What are your reasons for believing that?

It is a good call though and I suspect it to be accurate, I just want to understand what set you along that path.

*raises a glass of beer to Eloth*

(although worth noting in no way, shape or form am I claiming to be Belgian PS ;) )
