Bit of a cross post denul. I think both you and Monok are on to something i support but you need to be more specific. I dont follow why youd think i was against monoks logic. I just think we can work it within the rules.

That's a dangerous dance. Game design sets how reveals are policed, and if Tapper doesn't want us to know with any concreteness who is from where, it's because it could quite possibly "break" the game. Tapper is pretty thorough with his designs, so jerry-rigging a wraparound to his reveal rule smells like a no-no. When it doubt, message PS.
Ok i cant pm him and "bring you the news." lets let Tapper address it in his updates then move on from there.
Edit canter to cant

Sorry about yesterday. RL was Hectic. Hopefully I will have a bit more time today. The day has started off better anyway. I haven't bothered to read up yet. I will try to do that as I go through the day. But I was thinking about the game and about Tappers wording in the OP and how GL's CF came up Henchman rather then scum. So I went back and read back over the OP and noticed this little gem.
From what little I have read everyone is looking people that GL was signaling. I think that we are looking in the wrong place. The words Mastermind remind me of a Godfather role. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Godfather role it is much like a reverse symp role. The leader knows his underlines but they don't know him. I think that we should be looking for people who were signaling GL not people GL was signaling. I was wrong work is crazy right now. It has taken me over an hour to put this together. I will try to read up through out the day.

If this were the case, we'd need to look at who was trying to signal GL, not the other way around. I went back and looked. The two most obvious candidates for people who directly interacted would be Amp for all that first day back and forth, but I didn't find any one particular statement that struck me as signalling. The other was Korabas with this:

I doubt Amp and GL are partners. I would be hard pressed to believe 1 of our noisy players are scum let alone two, especially so intimately intertwined. The problem is that the big bads rarely seem to be blatantly lynchable on day 1, leaving symps to ply their trade if need be.
Although, I swear if there wasn't such a weird interaction/non-interaction between Tiam and MO, I would be making a case on one of the noisy ones, particularly GL (in addition to spending a lot of time misunderstanding the OP, he seems to be harping an awful lot on townie roles).
Speaking of which, I still don't believe I have heard a response from Tiam to my case...

Well Tapps has put my plan to bed quite firmly, apologies to our shaper of paths for not reading the op, basically at all it would seem.
Hu fat as the a godfather role is what i had suspected, although I was thinking the reverse where seperate henchmen know who he is, but not who each other are. but given the flavour context the shadowy crime lord would fit with him knowing his henchmen and them not knowing his real identity.
Back to GL's posts, at least I'm finally on the big screen

Ok I see a case for a signal but Korabas goes on to highlight GL. Also, if we assume Tiam was not a symp and just an idiot Korabas threw some questions his way that, if one suspected Tiam to be ones symp I'd think Korabas would have completely avoided.
Personally I'd need to read up on korabas but judging off those who have, like you its not telling us much.
Okral Lom came in just now and suggested that God father mechanic. If thats the way it works then anyone the EU boys picked out but never dialogued with at all deserve a second look. I'd say Denul and Eloth still rate high on my day 2 list.
Denul has been trailing any argument made on me or that compromises me. Thats good, scrutiny shows interest. He has not created his own case though and I think players like Tiam and GL avoided this sort of case building because it outs their screwy behaviour. Perhaps its all the quantity on thread. I'd like Denul to compile a case on me because only scummy players have tried to. I'd like to see why it is I'm so high on his list when you look at my overall thread activity. It might be a worthwhile perspective into how Denul thinks.

Ok Cool. Denul, hypothetical question. In your absence and sudden appearance you still havent given us your idea Day 1 strategy.
Honestly, I'm not certain. I understand the need for getting to Level 5, and I understand the desire to want to see what the killers started off with, but when it was obvious we weren't gonna make it through Day 1 without going up at least 1 level, I would have said we should try to go all out and get to Level 5 right away. Anyway, now that this seems likely for today, guess we'll see how things go after Night 2!
This is quite similar to the stuff Tiam said in support of GLs push day 1. I would like to see how many players actually supported this attitude on thread. not so overwhelming and of them very few, if not none were there to push the last few hundred. Maybe they were all asleep at the time but when I was up I didn't get the impression they were pushing late hours.
Eloth has me interested. The hammer issue is one thing but this Post:

Ok, gate call is in ten minutes, I'll give a quick summary of what my basic skim through has shown (tried looking for connections to GL in the opening few pages and really struggled for anything concrete, or even jelly like.
Even tried following all his A's, nada, zero
as for GL connections going out, well he mentions or addresses basically everyone, dont have time to read his posts in isolation, and the isolation doesn't work right for me, there definitely posts not displayed, we need a proper thread ISO hook, remind me to ask silencer post game about it.
he directly addresses Lock and Kesso with one line "so what do you think" type questions, pretty thin I know.
Bek, if we follow the godfather knows underlings path tries to deflect a bit from GL day 1, and the people he tries to push it off onto are inno's in my mind. Especially his case for pushing on me, paraphrase, "well I think we should lynch MO, if he comes up scum we know GL is his symp" (very rough paraphrase, no time to go back for quote) if we look at this from the perspective of knowing I'm town, it would in theory make GL safe if a train had run on me. again, thin and weak. but this was after voting Taim, then quickly changing to me.
haven't looked at his day 2 yet, time constraints preclude it.
In short, I'll lkeave my vote on Eloth, for the quote i posted earlier and previous suspicions (from other players) but would be willing to vote Bek. My lock an dkorabas suspicions don't bear up well on a post isolation reread but I still have an eye on them

I'm not gonna criticise much here Monok, just that posting impressions before full re-read smells funny to me. If youre hustling from a phone I don't blame you but its hurting the worth of your case because of your paraphrasing. I argued with GL then laid a vote on him after arguing with him. ALOT. I also shifted from you because I started to suspect GL was trying to frame you. Its all there if you read it through.

My lock an dkorabas suspicions don't bear up well on a post isolation reread but I still have an eye on them
Even tried following all his A's, nada, zero
as for GL connections going out, well he mentions or addresses basically everyone, dont have time to read his posts in isolation, and the isolation doesn't work right for me, there definitely posts not displayed, we need a proper thread ISO hook, remind me to ask silencer post game about it.

He's apparently getting on a plane. Throwing thoughts out in such circumstance is reasonable imo.

Ok, gate call is in ten minutes, I'll give a quick summary of what my basic skim through has shown (tried looking for connections to GL in the opening few pages and really struggled for anything concrete, or even jelly like.

Yeah I got that. I'm not hassling him about it. just saying it hurts whatever he was building up to because it looks like selective analysis even if its the best he can do. Denul did something similar earlier on.

Just in briefly, can anyone think why we didn't get a full CF for GL but why we got one for Tiam and Alkend?

The man in the fancy suit walked around rather aimlessly, as if drunk. He couldn't help but be noticed by another westerner, who was observing the yaught port from the shadows, then dragged the suit in when he was close enough.
"Bruno?" The shadowy figure asked.
"Ahah," the other replied.
"I wasn't briefed about you being here. What are you doing?"
"Double team, for control?"
"Bullshit. We know the numbers."
The shadow felt something against his stomach.
"Stiletto," Bruno grinned. "Die, motherfucker. Hau Fat says hello."
The other man checked his belly with a gloved hand, brought it up to his face, peering at it. Then he snatched the Italian's hand, brought it up.
"It's a comb, you twat."
"Whaaa... eh, it was a joke?"
A gunshot ran out.
"Waste of a suit," the shadowy figure commented.
Galayn Lord is dead. He was Bruno Safredi of the EU and a Henchman.
It is now night.

"Oooooooooooooooh, René!!" the waitress crooned, holding a portly man of middle age in a tight embrace.
"Not now, my love, I am urgently needed!"
"Can you not wait?" she tightened her arms, curling a leg around his waist.
"Careful honey, we are on..."
"... on the brink of eternal delight, yes, my darling," she moaned as she leapt up, showering his bald spot in kisses, wrapping her legs around him.
".... the edge of a balcony," he finished lamely, as they fell backwards, fourty stories down.

Tiamatha is dead. He was René Artouille, an EU spy (RI) and Khellendros
Everyone is now level 5.

She felt right at home in her birth city, despite not having been there for a long time. Most of her fellow agents wouldn't feel secure at all, but she knew this place and nothing could surprise her. She waited for the light to turn green, and when a motor bike swivelled by, through the red light, she deftly avoided it - stepping in front of a Hummer waiting for the traffic light. It promptly accelerated, ran her over, reversed, slammed into the car behind it, then accelerated again and disappeared. The police failed to identify the bloody stain on the street, but SpyCRAFT managed through her genetic blueprint.

Well common assumption is Tiam was possibly a symp that turns up town so his CF looks identical to Alkend who was town.
GL obviously had a roled position. maybe a second killer with power activated late? its WIFOM to suppose anything really.
We'd have to discuss NA and its a popular belief only scum discuss NAs.
I can just guess symps level into killers and we got the original killer but one of his symps became a killer.

Can someone go in a bit more detail about this Godfather setup? particularly about numbers, and how the Godfather communicates to supposed factions?
I'd like to know how that would work as we level from TMDi 2 to 7.

Quote
TMDI:2 = As 1, but a small number of simple roles. Eg: 12 players, 2 Killers, Symp, Healer, BP/Vig.
TMDI:7 = No discernible town and scum... ie: factions/cults only.

Your guess would make it 4 scum? Boss, henchman GL, symp Khell, and unknown symp who offed Alkend? Shin had a similar setup a few games back. That one went sideways day one when the recruiter was lynched day one.

Im actually not sure. 4 is alot more than i'd expect considering our numbers. A recruiter though, that sounds like an interesting suggestion. Maybe henchman/boss/symp-recruiter?

Should be. I went to take a nap. Somewhere in there I must have said fuck it and went to bed. It was 7 am when I woke up.
Where'd you find the TMDI info? I re-read the 101 thread and didn't see it.
