As for lover codes, the problem with them is that they can easily be accused of being a killer pair attempting to fake being town lovers. Plus it's not usually a good idea to reveal your partner if you've been outed. Still, we can do them anyway, in case some other permutation comes up down the line. I'll probably do some version of first letter of word to spell your name out either forwards or backwards.

Inheritance mechanic sounds likely to me too, though it could also be along the same lines as us, i.e. killers have kill and one other ability which they can use. If they use kill, the kill is no longer 'active' the next night and therefore they won't come up as killers if a find is done on them then.

However, I struggle to think what other abilities killers would want other than 'kill' if this is just shade above a regular town-scum game. So maybe it's likelier that the swapper abilities are spread along town, i.e. vig/guard, or vig/healer, etc. Hmm, but again, that doesn't seem hugely likely - a vig that regenerates every other night? Well, maaaybe...


I'd expect some variation of 2 killers, 2 symps. Two separate killers? Game might be over too quickly. But if Sorry is supposed to be the killer, she's hardly one to work with another, canon-wise. So again back to the inheritance mechanic.

I wonder, also, if there's another VC or part VC which the killer(s) have to fulfil, i.e. kill Ganoes Paran. The story posts certainly seem to hint that he must be protected. I can see the Paran role having a BP, though, or one resurrection of some sort.

Picker goes to pick hers up but then Hedge slaps his hand down on top of her card, he asks Fiddler if he can have hers and she have his. Fiddler cracks out a smile and nods. They all turn their cards over. Dujek has Orb a new player in the game but little good for him, Kalam flips his card over and finds Toblakai which is just about the worst card in the deck. Hedge flips his, and cracks the biggest smile he has seen that day, Sceptre, one of the best cards out there, he leans over to grab the coins but then realises picker has to flip her card. She does. She gasps. High House Shadow and in the seat, laughing maniacally, is Shadowthrone. No one can beat her, she throws her arms into the air to celebrate but instead of laughing out loud she slumps forward in her chair, 3 daggers buried deep into her chest. Maybe it just wasn't her day.

I'm taking Raest off the list because if anything, he would be summoned by Lorn/Tool and then perhaps used as an ability of some kind, maybe a kill or other NA. Baruk also seems unlikely; if anything, Kruppe/The Eel is going to be the highest Daru in-game, probably... That still leaves out Rallick Nom, Vorcan, Ocelot, Turban Orr, Fiddler, Hedge... I'm going to assume characters like Coll, Murillio, Korlat, etc. are not figured prominantely enough in the story to be playable.
