EDIT: Ignore me, just realised I wrote the same thing a few pages back.
David Eddings' Sparhawk books - another one that hasn't stood the test of time since first reading them when younger. It has its moments, but the characters aren't as witty as Eddings thinks and they tell the same five jokes between them every sodding book.
