Our svg file has ~150mb of hidden, locked masks. The only way I found them was deleting every thing in the file and saving it. Then opened that file in Adobe Illustrator. I can deleted them in Illustrator but can't even get Inkscape to admit they exist. *sigh*

Weird, I wonder why it would save those after I'm done with them. It might have been a bug in an older version - inkscape does get updated pretty regularly and I first made the file over a year ago.

Also could be inkscape has the "unlock" setting for those mask layers someplace funny and hidden. I don't always find it's set up intuitively.

I found the unlock/unhide. Doesnt' work. I tried using find with include hidden/locked objects. Nada. Inkscape simply refuses to admit they exist. I'm trying a work around. I'm saving each layer in its own file. Open in AI, delete the masks, save. Seems to be working but slow. AI has to freak out over multiple objects for each file. It takes about 20 minutes of clicking "ok", "ignore", and "continue" before it finally opens. The deleting is simple. Then I have to save as and go through another set of complaints about incompatibilities.

I have a vague reminiscence of saying something about how easy this would be. Depressing amount of time spent on it. But now I'm determined to finish it. The TableTop Simulator game could make this all worth while*. They raised the maximum table size to 4400x2600. If that sounds familiar it's because that's the same dimensions of my Low Res full board. They have zoom, pan, and scan capabilities so it's looking like i can get it running on steam in a playable form. *crosses fingers, toes, ear lobes, legs, arms, and eyes*

*assuming that there isn't a copyright infringement at the end of this

Edit: I've passed the one month mark so can give away the extra versions of TTS that I bought. I sent one to Morgy. Any takers for the other two?

Yeah, it's a close call. I have not run numbers either. Just seems to me getting initiative with all our shots is worth more than a bit of durability....maybe not. It's a gamble.

I don't think he can reconfigure to regain initiative with either ship type either, unless he goes back to ion cannons.

Upgrade - source and gluon computer over the two single-hull slots on dread blueprint please.

Is it my go now? I thought it was tapper, but then Gnaw threw his move in there.

I think so.

On a side note, I think my timing of my reaction was way off. I didn't think there would be that many more moves after I passed and did no reaction. I figured at most there would be two more rounds but with the way D'rek and CF & Tapper are talking it doesn't look that way at all. Ugh this has been a horrible game for me.

I was surprised too. I was expecting you to do your reaction in a turn or two ever since you passed. I was wondering whether you would force me to do reactions or not.

Oh and confirm my reaction, upgrade cruiser power source to 6 And remove positron comp to reveal ion cannon.

It's ok twelve. I think you're well on your way to victory in Game V anyway.

One dud in 4-5 games isn't too bad.

No Reaction
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Gnaw what do you reckon pin his dread? One reaction from you moving in the inty, and I build a starbase. Any other move sequence and he'll run away I think.

I'll maybe move in a cruiser/another starbase to finish him off.

If we get enough moves maybe even try and finish him off by getting your inty to neutron bomb his foothold? Not sure how many moves anyone has left though.

I'm out of moves for sure. Morgoth has passed - I don't know if D'rek and Tapper are going to keep the moves going or not.

You'll at least get 1 more move after I pass next time round the board - more if Tapper and D'rek are foolish enough to challenge us.

It really won't...

If he isn't pinned he will reconfigure as his last reaction before the round ends. I can't build a starbase prematurely as if I do.
He will just move his dread to another system once I build the starbase. If we pin the dread we can kill it, otherwise its not worth me reacting as twelve will always be able to react after me and counter.

I thought you had a reaction free to help me?

Okey. Since no one has done anything I'm still the last player to go.

Hmm. The cruiser is best I think. Leaves the interceptor handy as well.

There's nothing I can do that helps our odds in Kappa Volantis at all. It'd just be a waste of materials. So, I might as well do some research now that will hopefully give me a fighting chance against them next round.
