I on the other hand am quite happy. Thanks to a quality little aluminum box made by CalDigit I now have 2 external monitors working off my MBP. All 3 are in native mode.

Tomorrow I crack the case and install the SSD and 16gb ram.

So instead I'm going to hold back in case he does that and engage him if he jumps into your hexes. As I could provide only one ship to the cause because of the distance and amount of moves required, it likely wouldn't be enough to stop him hopping.

I am sorry, you asked me a question a day ago or so RE inkscape and I never answered.

I think it had to do with how I got the various colours for the starbases, ships etc...

The base colours came from the original image files. The extra colours (IIRC Grey, orange, pink) came from the "colorize" filter. When you apply that filter I think the default is to orange, but in the "filter editor" you can edit the color that gets applied however you want. That filter editor is clunky IMO, because you can't fully expand the window that shows the tree of effects that are applied for a given filter. If you are patient and pick through the tree, you can eventually find the one that governs colour.

There is your problem, you should be using a thingamajig, not a knickknack or a doodad.

Thingamajigs are expensive, we're not all loaded like you IH. You could try a whatsit instead, twelve. Same result for half the price.
