And if he and Tatts exchange ambassadors, Veng can afford to go to -30.

Hmmm. Twelve, I do believe you're in trouble. Veng can afford to do another action.
Rotation will definitely be clockwise.

I've always known I was in trouble. This is basically my last gambit. Praying that lady luck in on my side one.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

But which is most likely to force another upgrade?
2nd cruiser isn't a good choice for this turn. Twelve gets to shoot first and if every shot hit there would only be the 2 interceptors remaining. So he might pass.

- Comp on the starbase
- 2nd starbase
- 2nd cruiser

Props to you sir. Was the plan all along to be able to bankrupt all those material only hexes or did that just evolve?

And I don't dare take another action. If I do and you do an upgrade, D'rek could move her interceptor and bankrupt me.

I know that I need to upgrade the computers on the star awe to keep the defense initiative and to force another action from 12 but what type of computers do I upgrade too?
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.

Electron computers - they're the best. Almost a sure-fire shot against twelve.

Having played a few Ipad version games now, I've noticed a few quirks with the AI: They never ever react, no matter what I do. Once they've passed, they're done for the round. It's also interesting how they almost always take the 2VPs in a discovery - hypergrid source, conformal drive, shard hull, no thanks, we'll take the VPs. Only sometimes do they take the + resources discoveries. They also never research drives, and they love to make their ships into missile boats late in the game.

they'll take shard hull if it pops up in the first couple of rounds.
once one passes the rest will follow in a turn or two at the most.
they'll go for missiles as soon as possible. reasearch ImpHull, neutron bombs, starbase as priorities. i've only seen one get wormhole generator a couple of times.
they can get caught in a loop between two artifact hexes. move ships from A to B, influence B, bankrupt A in upkeep, move ships back to A, influence, bankrupt B, etc.
+3 comp with -3 shield on a dread rocks.
Draco are awesome to play. Do the interceptor to the middle, influence a couple of ancients on the other side, then explore behind your homeworld creating a choke point.

Yeah, I've seen the influence-bankrupt loop in every game I've played.
They've bought wormhole generator a couple of times, but never actually used it.
Haven't tried Draco yet, just Terrans and Planta. Suffice to say, my Planta efforts went better there than in this game - finished 2nd behind Orion. Would have won by miles had I been able to buy the monument tech (I had 55 materials at one point), but it eluded me. It did not elude the Orion.
I tried playing online but couldn't get a game - only 11 other people were online, supposedly.

Don't listen to Khell. He clearly didn't mean computers at all. You should definately replace those missiles with another hull. That way you can survive my cannon shots.
