MOVe - Interceptor from Phi Piscum to Delta Eridani. Intercptor from 51 Cygnus to Epsilon Carinae. Khell, I'm going to start influencing on my next turn, first Iota Persei and Tau Librae, then Pollux and removing Iota Persei. Don't worry about de-influencing Epsilon Carinae if you're planning to leave it until you go bankrupt, I can get it next round.

D'rek, I don't think I'll be able to that AND beat Tatts. I'll go bankrupt and have no discs to put back on my track to get out of bankruptcy (Epsilon Carinae won't be enough).

I can de-influence Iota Persei and Tau Librae, but I think another de-influence for Pollux will be one move too far for me.

Oh why couldn't there be a rare tech that can convert interceptors into Kamikazie bombs. I could so use something like that right about now.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Well, I could afford it if I bankrupted (or lost) the warp portal hex as well I suppose. But that doesn't leave me with much for next round.

Khell, how many more turns do you need to beat Tatts? Just an UPG?

If you:

INF (and remove 2)
INF (and remove 2)
UPG

you end up at money = 4 + 15 - 17

which would be okay.

So do you need more than 1 action to beat Tatts?

That's the issue. I think I need to BUILD and UPGRADE. Just upgrading won't cut it with Gnaw's interceptor in there too.

Khell - with the current ship blueprints: 1x Gnaw interceptor 1x Tatts Cruiser 1x Tatts Dread vs 4x khell starbase 1x khell dread 1x khell interceptor is 66% in favour of Khell which would take only 1 BUIld action and no upgrades. Also worth considering is I can move at least 1 interceptor into there to help, too.

Yeah, I got similar odds...but I'm not sure if it's too close. This is going to be an extremely important battle - at the end of it one of Tatts and I will be crippled. Win this and we don't have to worry about the backdoor. Win this and Tatts has toe expend extra moves building whatever he can in order to try and fend you off, and he'll have no time to even think about lending help to the GC.


Less dramatically and more pragmatically, Tatts might still upgrade himself and shave down those odds.

There are a couple I could do, but I think the one twelve is talking about is missile onto starbases, I out initiative his ships and so will most likely do enough damage to kill enough missile boats, that the resulting missile barrage won't be enough to kill all of my ships.

Two starbases would have been safer, but this way twelve might be tempted to tango, and lose his ships. Plus he can't be sure I won't do two reactions and put in a second starbase if he moves in. :)

I have to try though. Otherwise I just sit with my thumb up my @$$ the rest of the game guaranteed to finish in last place. Though Morgoth will owe me big time for forcing you to put the missiles on your starbase instead of putting it somehwere more useful.

So you are going for it this round? I was curious. I could see a couple of ways you could maybe beat whatever is in that hex next round, and a few things you could do this round which would be REALLY annoying. You should have kept your science production for one more round. Fusion drive and I'd have been worried!
