did a quick internet search and it would appear there is a mid season break, probably after episode 10, since both the wikipedia page, and the imdb page have no episode names beyond that.

If it's like last year, then they will be off before christmas, AGENT CARTER will start in Jan (edit: supposedly a 2 hour episode on Jan 5th), and AGENTS OF SHIELD will return in March. There is supposed to be a crossover episode with AGENT CARTER at some point too, whether before or after the break it doesn't say.

Oh yeah, that was Mark Dacascos, yeah we don't see him in enough stuff. He's a good actor.

Well, the Inhumans are basically taking the place of the mutants in the MCU as Fox still has the rights to all of them.

Wasn't expecting it to come quite so soon. And her backup being killed by Mark Dacascos so soon afterwards was also a bit of a shocker.

Curious to see where Coulson being on the other side will lead to as well.

I did NOT see the Will-is-not-Will-is-really-Other-Plnet-Creature reveal coming AT ALL. Amazingly done. That said, I sdaw the Ward-dies-becomes-Creature coming before that scene even began. It's a cool way to keep the actor on the show and shove him into even more evil territory. It gives Coulson closure on his desire to end Ward...but allows for some tension between Fitz and Coulson now as Fitz sees how cold his boss has become.Mac's lead of the team was well managed, and I bought fully into his attempt to sacrifice himself if things went sour.

Why was Monster-Will so pussy when fighting Fitz? I know his leg was done in but if you're an alien doomsday creature, surely a fist fight with a scientist wouldn't be such an issue for you...

we don't really know enough about the creature to say either way. Maybe he is limited to his current form? idk.

It's interesting, up till now I was pretty sure that the Inhuman from the other planet was a member of the original Inhuman Royal Family called The Unspoken. A cousin of Black Bolt (leader of the modern Inhumans Royal Family). He was once the king of the Inhumans until the rest of the Royal Family rose up against his power-hungry ways. Black Bolt defeated and banished him, decreeing that his actions would be removed from the history books and his name never be uttered again causing him to be referred to as "The Unspoken". The Terrigen Mists gave him the power of "Terrigenesis," the ability to alter his body into any form he wished.

That all lined up with what Merrick said about the creature ("He was once a powerful Inhuman on earth, but was exiled to that planet through the portal, and came to be worshiped by old Hydra.".

But here's the twist...(spoilers for last night's ep)

Both Will (his injured leg with bone exposed), and then Ward (looking zombie/corpse-like) appear to not be "representations" of the creature, but their bodies are "controlled" by it (see see the sludgy-looking snake thing infect them)...it could still fit with the Unspoken....but what if it's actually Maximus? Maximus the Mad is Black Bolt's brother, and had the ability of mind-control...so perhaps that after 25,000 years (or however long since Black Bolt last defeated him and sent him there) he's a shadow of his former self (a snake sludgy thing that has to infect living things to live) and he's controlling them that way now. This also could tie into the Hydra logo. Maximus the Mad was obsessed with Black Bolt's wife Medusa. Medusa - snakes...around a head....is it possible that Hydra misinterpreted the logo for a multi-headed snake...when it was really Maximus' tribute to the woman he loves (who did not love him back).

Anyways, just some thoughts on who it might be. It could also just be someone new....but if they want to tie into the actual Inhumans movie...either of those options would be a stellar way to go.
