Does Twelve only have 9 materials?

No he actually has 49 materials. That means I can hurt him somewhat by getting the shell world.

49 materials. What is he going to spend that on? He has 3 active hexes so can only build 3 monuments. I bet you he was planning on building the shellworld.

I will have quite a lot of ships already in the GC. I don't know how many. I've lost count to be honest. 6 ships? I can convert money into materials to get the shell world. I will have 6 ships to his 5 in the GC.

What's your plans for this round? Just trying to plan my moves and if you need safe passage thru Rho Indi space I'll need to make sure we aren't in conflict (or at least that I can move through you with my cloak.

My plans are, for the moment, crowd as many ships as possible into Zeta Herculis, and maybe fly one or two to...that one below ZH, begins with C, can't quite remember what it's called.

Keeping hold of Rho Indi till near the end of the round might be useful, so that I can continue to build and move from there, but I don't think I will necessarily need to move through your space at all. If the way round the GC, from Arcturus ( and through Tatts and D'rek's territories) is clear, I can come to ZH from that direction.

Having both options available would be ideal though.

Right now you are here, what do you guys think? I have 16 materials. Best way to give D'rek an extra 5vp's is by building the shellworld in PSI Capricorni and her taking it off of me this round. It means less ships in my fight against twelve but it will give her some huge VP's.

Then when my ships go into GC Khell you could crowd alderbran?

If this is a bad idea then please tell me. It creates PSI as a 7vp hex.



As I said above, my plan was to crowd Zeta Herculis and C-name hex below it. Make a real go of trying to take those hexes off twelve. I would need the way via Aldebaran clear to do that - as that is the shortest way through.

I think I have 4 ships in there Khell. If I buy shell world this go then it will take 2 more turns to move those ships. This is the only opportunity I have of nabbing the shell world as now I have mentioned it, he will surely take it on his next go.

I can still move via Rho Indi instead - but I would have to build there first. So I can build and upgrade etc while I wait for the way to clear, that's not a problem for me.


As for the shellworld, I'd wait for D'rek's answer on that. You could always allow twelve to build the shellworld - and then take it off him if you win the hex with the superior numbers you could muster with all the materials you'd have. But I guess then D'rek wouldn't benefit from the shellworld VPs.

Yes, tricky, but he can only build so much. He will need some to try and take me on. He has 2 dreads so they won't be in action. He could probably build cruisers and interceptors.

Both of those are made of glass.

For now maybe, but twelve has a lot of flexibility in how to set up his ships. I'm torn. I think deffo talk to D'rek before making a move.

Do it, I doubt twelve has planned for it (because it's utterly insane in terms of trying to win the game. I didn't even realise you could do it, but I suppose you have enough money and research to make up the gap. It's a shame you committed all your ships so now twelve doesn't have to battle out through you, but I guess he also can't research wormhole generators to get around you.)

I'm looking forward to the dog fight for 210, 6 point hex up for grabs makes it anyones game.

Also twelve is almost certainly going to have to go triple monolith as a result, which makes things even more exciting, lots of high point hexes up for grabs!

Yes he will. Tapper could make a move and Khell could make things hard for him too. I am 98% sure I am building it, just got to confirm with D'rek. I have 4 ships in Aldebran I could use them to pin ore of Twelve's ships if needed.

It's going to be really close, but I think Tats building the shellworld will shift the balance of power away from twelve. But it's going to come down to a point or two either way I reckon.

Makes things interesting though, twelve, d'rek and cf all have a good chance of the win. Tapper or khell is a bit more improbable, but they definitely will influence the winner.

Has tapper forgiven d'rek for eliminating him last game? I can see those dreads forging across the galaxy to attack her.

Hmmm I think I made a mistake not getting it last turn. I think I may have just lost the game. Good play all. Of course I will still fight to the end but with that additional 5 points I think D'rek will take the trophey.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Yeah for some reason I thought Tatts only had 14 materials left. Honestly I haven't been paying too close of attention to what has been going on around me like I should have. And once again I took an action over the weekend when I really should have looked it over with my notes before committing to an action. I doubt I'll learn my leason but I really should.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

You can still win, it's just going to be a lot closer, and your margin for error is a lot less.

I was surprised you got monoliths when you did, no-one was likely to block you getting them, so I'd have waited till the end for that.

It was a stall move so I can see what I'm going to be up against so I can maximize my upgrades & bulids. I really want to know where Tapper is planning on going with all those ships of his.

Tapper can easily take 3 3pt hexes off of people this round, SS homeworld, Altair and Khell's homeworld. He might even be able to grab a fourth if he makes a move for my former homeworld hex as well. 12 points would move him up quite a bit higher.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.
