PASS, he says, grudgingly.

Upgrade

Add Gluon Computer over the Default Hull on the Dreadnaught, Replace the positron computer with a Gluon Computer on Starbase.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Tapper presumably won't react, but SS may want to do something with regards to CF's final move.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to Pass on my next action though it's possible that I may do one more Action. I haven't decided yet.

I know Tapper is a guy. But that avatar should skip the pants part of that.

No, not calling the bluff now Gnaw. I was all pessimistic and down at the start of last round cause Twelve is so immovable, but knowing now that even my small movement of an interceptor can disrupt his plans, makes it worthwhile seeing things through until the end.

That said, I'm still fine with the next game starting early, I just don't want to totally lose momentum here in the last round. Just when things are getting proper exciting!

I think the most interesting thing about this game is the fact that we all are trying to be in alliances without the ability to officially be in a game-sanctioned alliance.

"erm, Khell, would you like me to move my ships ever so politely out of they way so you can pass through and destroy the common enemy?"

"erm D'rek, how shall my deadly orange dreads position themselves so as to keep Morgoth off your back and ensure you have a shot at Twelve next round"

I can see why alliances are almost required in a large game. The main travel routes get so crowded, it adds a lot of unnecessary huffing and puffing and unnecessary move-actions to the sequence.

Still fun.

Yeah. My passive playstyle with a race suited for combat is solely because I am squeezed in between two threats, one of whom had, for 7 rounds, no access to the outer world except through my systems and the other being the game leader. I could have started a largely suicidal war with either but it would just have meant early elimination. Overall, this game has not been very enjoyable for me and I firmly believe that the alliance system would have allowed me to be way more proactive and perhaps have given me a shot at victory.

You had your integrity used against you. The irony being you ended up with the traitor card anyway. You should have just stomped SS back in round 5.

And for gawd's sake: Do an upgrade reaction. Put the interceptor bay on your cruiser. Next turn round send 3 cruisers with 2 interceptors each out into the void. You can at the very least play spoiler on somebody else.

Edit: change 'turn' to 'round'

Turn 7
Spoiler
  • D'rek: MOVe Dreadnaught to Vega

  • Turn 8

    • Morgoth (reaction): move - my dreadnaught back to its previous location
    • GP: Pass
    • Khell: Pass

    • CF: Pass
    • Twelve: Upgrade Add Gluon Computer over the Default Hull on the Dreadnaught, Replace the positron computer with a Gluon Computer on Starbase.

    • Tapper (reaction): Assumed no reaction
    • SS (reaction): Assumed - no reaction or move cruiser Altair to Vega. Which would be stupid because then Khell would swoop down to take Altair.
    • D'rek:

    Turn 9

    • Morgoth (reaction): "As long as no ships enter the system holding my dread I'm not going to react."
    • GP (reaction):
    • Khell (reaction):

    • CF (reaction):
    • Twelve: "I'm going to go ahead and Provisionally Pass for my next turn. I don't think there is much that anyone can do to me using a reaction that would change my mind on this."

    • Tapper (reaction):
    • SS (reaction):
    • D'rek:

Thank you. I had moved a cruiser from 104 to Rho Indi. Fixed now.

Are you able to pin his dread in the next round Khell? That would be super helpful if it is possible.

    No reactions from me.

*pretends that he's thought that far ahead*

Well, I'll need to juggle a few resources around, maybe swap around an upgrade or two, renegotiate some diplomatic relations, but I'll do what I can.

Please triple check for accuracy as this is the version I'm resolving from once SS and D'rek have taken actions. The action phase is over once turn comes round to Twelve and he passes.
