Most of my moves have involved risk, attacking Gnaw, going after D'rek but at least I am making those types of moves. Maybe not smart but very enjoyable

Yeah playing the take the center and hold may be a winning strategey but it sure gets boring waiting for you chumps to get off your asses to challenge the all powerful and magnificent Eridani. (I can't even muster the enthusiasum to go big and bold because you lot bore me so)
YAWWWWWWN!!!!!!!!
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Can they win without taking Twelve down a peg? I don't think so but maybe Tapper and D'rek think they can?
Theoretically, it is possible for me to get more points than twelve even if he doesn't lose a single hex that he currently has.

Just like it doesn't matter who comes in 2nd place, it doesn't matter who has the most points in round 7, either. It all comes down to the end, so just wait and see. Tapper and SS, for example, have definitely been playing the long game, and either could start rising in points quite quickly soon depending on how things go.

Not taking risks typically means you'll end up in the middle. twelve took some risks early and it's the reason for his soon to be inevitable victory.

Someone needs to force twelve to expand some of those materials... otherwise he's going to be putting the shellworld into the galactic centre, and with all his tech points I don't see anyone overtaking him.

Hmm. I seem to recall somebody crowing about how taking Altair wasn't a risk at all because "he can't beat my dread."

Let's see.... 29 materials currently +12 generated this round guaranteed comes to.... Oh looky here. 41 materials. That gives me enough resources to build the Shellworld AND 4 cruisers. Oh please force me to spend materials!!!!! Please!!!! Please!!!!
I see a double conifold field hulled, Antimatter cannon, tachyon drive cruiser with positron computers in my future.
Who wants a ride?

I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

I just laughed out loud when I saw SS and Tapper's absolutely massive fleets just sitting there cancelling each other out. So ridiculous.
CF/IH, how do you feel about taking a shot at some of twelve's currently undefended hexes whilst I tie up his dreads? He could still throw other stuff at you but not the dreads. Or he'd have to build in the Arcturus to free his dreads - but I'd make sure he'd have to build a fair bit there in order to be able to do that. I can put up to five ships in Arcturus I reckon.

Cf is back on Wednesday so I'd ask him. Conifold hulled cruisers are going to be a challenge...

I don't think you need to worry about conifold cruisers too much, there's not really enough space+energy on the cruisers for him to have more than one unless it's a missile cruiser and then the extra hull is pointless.
ie:
Conifold field
Conifold field
Plasma cannon
Positron computer
Fusion source
Nuclear drive
Would be -2 power.
So he'll probably only have the one confiold field per cruiser, and 3HP vs 4HP doesn't make much difference. It's the 3xConifold dreadnaughts that get nasty!
(of course, depending on how much science twelve has he could turn around and research a better source for his cruisers too)

Oh Sir. Sir. Yes, you sir. I do believe it's your turn.
If you would just stop picking your nose for one moment and type something it would help the game progress. Er, well, I guess you have enough tentacles you could type and pick at the same time maybe?

By the way if I'm sounding more obnoxious than usual it's because I got a grand total of 1 hour 20 minutes sleep last.

I'm curious Tatts, are you actually trying to get your dreads out and elsewhere, or just trying to fight me? It won't change what I do - either way we're going to have an epic picnic in Eta Geminorum!

That is the only easy out for my ships. I cannot get out any other way, choice its Shit there and do nothing or try and move them all out. Tapper and his interceptor bay! I knew I'd be needing it.
