For those trying to gauge my intentions,
I want all my ships back into my home system (my bottleneck) by the end if this turn. I can use one more pulsar to bring the cruiser the rest of the way.
That leaves me both pulsars for upgrading next turn. I will make enough materials to build a dreadnought in the next round too. I could afford another turn now if I use my remaining colony card for 1 money at the upkeep phase (-13).
In fact I won't even have to, i can just take the hit.
So make of that what you will...
Any suggestions on what to do with my last disc/action?
Your pulsar only allows your cruiser to use one move activiation per use. So moving your cruiser out of Spica only moves it to the northermost pulsar tile. If you use your other pulsar to move then you move it to your next pulsar. Then you could use a move action to get your interceptor and cruiser back to your homeworld if you need to figure out another action to take if your intent is to get all of your ships into your homeworld. Currently you only have a nuclear drive. This only allows you to move one hex per move activation.
?
But that cruiser only has to move 2 hexes. And I have 2 pulsar turns to take. Well I just took one of them.
I'm not too fussed about the int. as I'd have to use a move action and waste a movement. Or I could use a movement to bring the cruiser and the int. home, one space each, and keep the pulsar for an upgrade as my last turn.
Look at the map again. That cruiser may be 2 hexes away from your homeworld but the full wormhole connections that you have to travel through are 3 hexes long to get there. If you had wormhole generator technology then you could have traveled directly to your homeworld. As it stands you have to go around.
And I'm wrong too. I just double checked the map and the cruiser would have to travel 4 hexes to get back to the homeworld. Spica to Sineis, Sineis to Geminga, Geminga to Gamma Velorum, Gamma Velorum to 55 Cancri.
Also look at the simple map that D'rek has provided. She has all the hexes on the board and their full and partial wormhole connections if you have any questions on how to travel the map. Solid lines are full wormhole connections and dotted lines are half wormhole connections that can be traveled using the wormhole technology. If they have neither then the only way to travel directly from one hex to another is using the jump drive discovery tech. Currently that is not available to anyone as it's a discovery tile that hasn't been drawn yet. It's very rare.
She also has the warp portals connected on the map. Anyone of them can go to any other one of them as though connected with a double wormhole connection.
I hope this helps.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.
