Hey. I know that one. Retreat is a two phase mechanism. The enemy gets to take a shot at you while you're "on the edge of the hex".

A ship has to wait until it's their turn to order the retreat based on inititive.Then it has to wait for a full engagement cycle before it actually retreats.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Also didn't SS have additional hull on his interceptor? One shot shouldn't take it out right? Though it would have been destroyed in the second round so it's a moot point.

Actually it isn't moot. By the rules the shot should have landed on the cruiser and. The interceptor would get another shot.

I hope I interpreted the instructions correctly. If not, I'll apply my "reroll entire combat" rule. I don't think there's a different way I should or could have interpreted those instructions though; they're pretty clear. Still, horrible outcome.

I hope I interpreted the instructions correctly. If not, I'll apply my "reroll entire combat" rule. I don't think there's a different way I should or could have interpreted those instructions though; they're pretty clear. Still, horrible outcome.
