I should have stated as long as I had both dreads to continue the fight.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Is it too late to say as long as I have two dreads still attack? I didn't expect for the ancient to miss on both of its first cannon attacks on me. I probably would have kept attacking otherwise.

And the vultures begin to circle around twelve...
I don't know that that's an accurate statement. It certainly changes the calculus, but twelve has a decent chance at a comeback.

I have no problem with that. You were here and CF knew you were here. He could have asked you.
But if he makes an exception here....
Considering this is only the third game on this forum it's not as if there is a lot of precedent for house rules on anything.

It's more of wishfull thinking on my part than any serious expectation that I could carry on with different instructions once I learned the outcome after a certain stage. I'm just seriously pissed that my carefully constructed plans have dissolved into dust. I'm shell shocked right now and have no idea how to proceed at this point.

Pretty much that's why I said that he stood a decent shot at a comeback. Twelve goes after the single ancient that just nuked CF's hex.
Edited for clarity

I was hoping to at least see what the new tech tiles would be. No joy on that I guess. So can't even leave a provisional for the start of Round 4.

Just as a double check: since I didn't go bankrupt or battle anything the rest of this round is just doing upkeep math?

Why does the 2 initiative ancient shoot before Morgoth's 3ini fighter in round 1? Or do I read that incorrectly?

I think just Morgoth, Solid and Cf need to accomplish their upkeep.
Apt is the only one who reads this. Apt is nice.

It doesn't change the outcome in any sense, afaik, though.

Actually it isn't moot. By the rules the shot should have landed on the cruiser and. The interceptor would get another shot.
The second shot by the ancient (if fired) would, in that case, have destroyed the cruiser, right?
