Sorry about not updating the first page - mafia kinda drew me away there the last few days. But I'm all yours now, you lovely, slow-moving, relaxing Eclipse game you!

So what do you think Khell? Should Gnaw do a reaction to possibly help ward off a GP betrayal?
IMO, it's not worth even trying. Gnaw's cruiser won't make much difference against Tatt's upgraded dread.

About the only thing that I think might possibly be worth it for Gnaw to do would be to build a dread and then try to take out the ancient. But since he passed on building two dreads I really don't think he should waste any actions at all at this point as we saw how hard it was for Morgoth even with additional computers to take out an ancient.
What I'm really curious about is what do you guys think are CF's chances of warding off an attack by Tapper's cruiser and interceptor? If Tapper had better computers on his cruiser I'd say that CF would be in some serious trouble. Which is something Tapper could do easily. CF would probably have to put at least his cruiser in Beta Sextantis but an additional interceptor would probably be a good idea too, just to keep Tapper from making a move against him.
I can see some fireworks coming soon and yet the fourth is still 3 weeks away to the day.

You're...asking my opinion on Eclipse strategy? Are you feeling alright, D'rek?
I would say no, because that supposed betrayal is not going to come (anytime soon, I mean).

Well, I assume I'll move my dread and fighter into Lambda Serpentis, so that is my provisional unless Tatts does something crazy.

I passed last turn. But, no I'll not make a reaction this turn.

Okay D'rek you are up. Looks like Tatts confirmed his pass and Morgoth has a provisional in.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Tapper you are on deck as SS has a provisional in as well to upgrade some stuff.
I'll provisionally move my two dreadnaughts to the GC barring anything crazy by Tapper that adversly affects moi.

My guru suggested building a starbase in the warp portal and home sectors with an interceptor in the one grey planet. But the advice came with the warning that doing so might make me more attractive to the pirates.

If I'm correct, then I'm -10 now. Just have a pulsar to use.
Pulsar Geminga upgrade cruiser with fusion source over normal power source.
That'll be my last provisional this round and then pass.
So I'll update OP today sometime.

does your upgrade not let you upgrade two ship parts?

No the pulsar moves are always one of an action.
Also SS are you sure you don't want to put a plasma cannnon on your interceptor, rather than upgrading your cruisers power? It gives you ~5% better odds of beating the ancients.

Thanks IH, I had been toying with the idea, but I see now that the power source is quite valuable, later on in the game when your ships start getting naughty. I didn't think it would have made too much difference, but I suppose 5% is a help.
I suppose you're right, for the purposes of this battle, I should do it. I can do the power source later.
I just thought it would save me later on if I get the chance to beef up my cruiser.
