edit: after all, he did say he was trying to avoid the center :p

I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that his strategy is going to be somewhat changed after the hive draw. :D

Morg can refuse to place the card though, right?

Where is the fun it that? I'd say with his weaponized Orbitals, Morghy might be actually in a decent position to destroy them and reap some points... :D

Well, GP *claimed* before that his strategy was just to expand to where Aldebaran is now, while avoiding connecting to both me and the center (not actually possible). The Hive shouldn't really change any of that as he wasn't headed there anyways. And the ancient ships moving into player hexes is not that big of a deal, the odds of it hitting GP or Morgy are 1 in 3, and you get a whole round to react to it anyways. The hive does present a formidable defensive barrier for a while with all the ancient ships in it, but GP said he didn't care about that spot before. So supposedly it shouldn't change his plans, but we'll see.

Yeah, Morgy can discard it if he wants. But again, it is a good defensive barrier for him and the ships aren't too annoying. I say Morgy should leave it to annoy GP, and if he doesn't like the ships I can deal with them for him :D I want to connect to him to get a trading partner, anyways!

Hah, well there would be no fun in just discarding it. The Horde do not fear Ancients. We consume them!

So yeah, keep it, it'll be fun :p, also, settle my two remaining planets. I guess you could've just left them there.

When that is said. I, the great Gökada Khan consider the Ancient Hive to be part of our grazing lands. Excursions into that part of the bozki will result in consequences most dire.

Head through tier I. The gravity wells are too numerous there for grazing.

He just blocked me from reaching him through tier 1 though. I guess it'll depend on my tier 2 explore.

Or you could just go through the center.

She's definately setting herself up for a fight with 6 HP Dreadnaughts in round 1. She could possibly take on all three ancients with just one Dread right now. Tatts be afraid. Be verrry afraid.

So its Solids turn right now right? I hadn't seen him all day but that isn't saying much. I've been away most of the day myself. I'm thinking I'll probably have to put in a provisional before I hit the sack tonight.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

That is such a giant strawmanning load of crap. I dare you to show the math you used to reach that crazy notion.

You did see where I said possibly right? But if want we can look at the probability well here we go. You are looking to build a 6Hp dread with gauss shield and an electron computer. The standard ancient has 2 Hp and an electron computer. So Hp wise it's even. The ancients will hit you once per round of combat (6 ion cannons with the electron computer canceled out by your gauss shields). You hit at a rate of once every third shot soyou will take out the first ancient in round three.
So now it's round 4 you have 3 hp left and now the ancients hit at a rate of roughly The same rate as you. So three more rounds go by you take out one more ancient and you are now down to 1Hp. Heads up time.
Now the ancient hits at a rate of 1third. So three rounds and they finishes you off before you can finish them. So odds are probably 55-45 in the ancients favor. It's more or less a coin toss in my professional opinion.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Now off to bed.

If there are still T3 tiles, explore NE from my homeplanet.
If they aren't available, upgrade as follows:

Positron Computer on the open space on the fighter (total energy required: 3).
Positron Computer on the Electron computer of the cruiser (total energy required, 3).
Discovered +3 computer on the Electron computer of the Dreadnought (I assume the discovery tile doesn't cost energy)

Well, in this particular case, D'rek is blitzing for the center. She's sacrificed two actions this turn to be able to develop enough to take it.
Khell gets points for research AND each research gives him (and everyone else) discounts on future research, so he'll continue to do this every turn.
For me, well... basically, it makes sense to use actions to upgrade all across the board. With the discovery tile of +3, I probably won't research the +3 regular computer, and that makes Positron my end station: putting it up on all ships therefore makes sense :p
