Day 487 since Ghost Story........

The Long Night is OVER.

Salvation has arrived. 515 pages of pure, uncut, unsullied Dresden.

For the weak? Those who succumbed to the previews? A woeful 483 pages.

I pity them their willful stupidity in reducing their own glorious hit of Dresden.

But I temper my thoughts with the knowledge that soon, once again, we shall all begin the wait anew.

For now however, I depart, for my book is awaiting.

Underlined, totally untrue. Why would i not re-read the epicness that is chapters 1 through 4? Every other Jim Butcher novel i have read, i read all the preview chapters, including the Alera books. And when I got my hands on the finished versions i always re-read the chapters. To do otherwise seems like folly to me.

Key word - UNSULLIED. You'd already read those first few pages. They were sullied.
meh. Link was dead :(

Step 1: Take the book
Step 2: Rip cover from spine
Step 3: Seperate pages
Step 4: place them in automatic scanner
Step 5: Scan
Step 6: Forward results to me

LIES!!! They were a slow, languorous re-introduction to the sweet sweet bliss that is dresden opium. Once the finished product comes out, i switch drugs to full on crack cocaine. Otherwise the interim between fixes is excruciating. Instead of settling for one quick blast of overdose inducing narcotics, i pace myself. You may say no one ever wins in a battle against such insidious substances, and you would almost be right. I'm at work right now twitching while waiting for lunch so i can go read, and probably forego lunch in favour of my fix, in true addict fashion.

Point is, we all battle our addictions in a slightly different manner. I prefer to be subsumed early and prolong the experience for as long as humanly possible before the inevitable spiral of pleasure at getting my fix followed by the despair once realisation that once over, a fix of that magnitude may be more than a year and a half away, begins. That seems an extremely sadistic method of self torture.

Still not available on Kindle! I'm guessing Amazon is gonna stick to the official date... Each day that the preorder date doesn't change, I grow weaker...

Still not clicked a link though!

I wasn't aware that Amazon ever changed their Kindle date, aside from the accidental case of Stonewielder.

I've also been checking for ebook leaks...no luck so far.

Well I picked it up at waterstones too. Spent a nice lazy Sunday reading it. Pretty good. Lot's of interesting stuff happened, but I wouldn't put it in the same bracket as dead beat and changes.

Read it, loved it, left wanting more immediately. So much potential fallout from events!
It is perfectly monstrous the way people go about nowadays saying things against one, behind one's back, that are absolutely and entirely true.

Living on a budget trying to save money. sucks.

Instead of just buying it and enjoying the awesomeness I have to wait until I go home in 3 weeks and borrow my brothers copy.

Same with Blood and Bone. :sofa:
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.
